Rude and demanding. She grades strictly and expects you to know everything. She thinks everyone taking the class can understand french perfectly. She is awesome at embarrassing people in front of the class. If you don't have to take her, DON'T!

Not very helpful. Very unaccommodating, and seemingly unkind. There is very little oral rehearsing with classmates or with Prof. Unless you have already a good understanding of the French language, I would not recommend this class to introductory students. Her grading is also strict and she has a difficult accent.

I had her for two semesters, and I think she is wonderful. Her class is hard, but she genuinely wants her students to do well. She can be a little hard to understand at times, but is very helpful when the student does not understand. Like another poster said, if you put in the effort so will she!

Rude, discourteous, and demeaning in speech and manner. It was very hard to keep up with the course load and she seemed utterly unconcerned about the student's grasp of the language. I am struggling to keep a C grade in her class. Tutoring is not mandatory but recommended if you want an A or a B. Good luck if you end up in her class.

Really odd teaching methods, she seems to expect students to already speak French fluently before taking the class. She does all of the speaking during class and has several times refused to allow questions about what sis being taught. I don't get the feeling that she really cares whether students learn or not. I certainly wouldn't recommend her.

If french is a foreign language requirement and not your major-I highly recommend to take it with someone else. She is an extremely hard grader-to the point where if you mess up 1 article the entire sentence is counted wrong. Is NOT willing to understand student's point of view and NOT helpful. Thinks you should already understand how french works.

Madame Day is FROM France, so her teaching methods aren't always what American students are used to. She is very straightfoward and expects students to complete their assignments and come to class prepared with questions. She has a lot of insight into French culture, and if you put in the effort, so will she.

WORST PROFESSOR I've ever had, and I've had quite a few. I Got an A in french 121, my prof was great. This chick is terrible, unable to answer questions appropriately and shes completely un-engaging. I'm dropping this class. Ill take it later in the spring with someone else. P.S. Write a letter about her.

does not teach the material to ensure everyone's comprehension;VERY UNengaging and does not involve students;NO oral class interaction;NO toleration for questions (which is ridiculous in a FOREIGN LANG CLASS!);does not allow students to participate; NO variation in daily exercises;and ALWAYS falls back to her belief that we SHOULD kno the material

She is the worse teacher ever. Not helpful at all when you ask a question. Sometimes ignore your questions. Assume we already know what she is talking about.

WORST TEACHER EVER! First day of class she told us that if we needed help to go to a tutor because that's what they were paid for. She would hardly answer questions in class and when you asked a question she didn't understand she would get angry and go on. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!! Very rude and hard.

I thought she was a good teacher. Her accent was very strong, though, and she was hard to understand at times. As long as you showed up and did the homework, she was rather enjoyable and helpful. Just don't get on her bad side. She expects you to know your stuff, and the tests aren't easy, but I still ended up with an A.
