Comment:

Her class is great as long as you read and ask questions. It's somewhat essay heavy (total of 4 throughout the whole semester), but she provides topics that are relevant and not super old like Shakespeare. Would totally recommend her for other classes besides ENGL100

Comment:

The beginning of the semester began with a lot of group work and discussion, great for new students or those afraid of this subject. She was always ready to assist you if you are falling behind or simply not grasping the subject. Homework was tough, but in the end of the class I came out learning. Essays are crucial to her grading system obviously.

She is a tough grader! I worked my butt off and I barely passed! I've been out of school for awhile, and I expected the course would be reasonably fair. I was wrong. but It's a community college class! If you can, try to get another professor. I should've listened to the other comments, but I was optimistic:/

Professor Fouquette really cares for her students' success, throughout the semester she points out the importance of meeting with her and the tutor outside class. Most essays and short papers require group participation, at times that can have a negative impact if your peers choose not come to class. Lots of papers! Recommend!!

prof. was good, but a little confusing. overall she encouraged us to always meet with someone at the writing center, plus it was part of our grade. she is a tough grader I mostly got B's on my papers but with her I would get D's, or C's. get ready to read, bring your book, bring materials need for class, and go to class. you will be okay,

Didn't like this professor. If you have a good English foundation then it's fine, but if you're learning all this stuff for the first time, the way she explains things is really confusing. On top of that, she's a genuinely mean person, which made it difficult for me to ask her questions (which she never actually properly answered)

Pros:use of books, help readily available, teaches well, a lot of Xtra Credit Cons:most work was very confusing to understand, clarifications turned into even more confusion, dominated convos, tough essay grader, no computers in class nice lady, but don't you dare try to speak in a convo; she won't let you finish lol prepare to read A LOT.

Invested in her students and subject matter. Wants to meet with you. Organized with clear directions. Her goal for class time is to get you to think. Comes prepared but adapts plan to your understanding/needs. ENGL 100 is a skill based, be prepared to spend time researching/writing. No final for perfect attendance. Would take again.

At first I was worried about taking this professor. She is blunt and strongly oppinionated. I ended up really loving her class. After you get to know her, you find out she is very passionate about Literature. She really cares about the students and wants everyone to pass. She offers a ton of reasonable extra credit, so you can pass the class.

Awesome professor. Would love to be her student again! She's super clear and organized in everything. She teaches great and is never boring. She loves her students and tries to enjoy the time with them. She brings awesome cookies to class! :) I definitely recommend her to every student. You will definitely enjoy her class and lover her personality!

I did not understand her directions when i came down to homework, it made no sense, she would change the weekly schedule, grades you hard when it comes down to Essays, and is strict on homework. Take a different professor, read the other comments left on here!

OBVIOUSLY her first time teaching CW. She had NO idea what she was doing the entire semester & would rush us during the last ten minutes of EVERY class because she has no time management skills. Hardly ever collected assignments due to her refusal to type up a proper assignment list. Made us read a book that she never even discussed. Take Tamra!!!!

She isn't the greatest teacher but she is pretty chill. Class had its boring days and honestly felt like high school all over again. Our tutor was actually a bit more helpful than she was though.
