Dr. Hamill is an amazing professor and shows that she really cares about her students. If you study hard and attend lectures, you will do great in the class. (Ask about her cat Hemmy!)

BIO 271/2, ZOO 333. Uses ppt, board, & diagrams. She moves at a nice pace and if the class is clearly struggling she slows down. Exams for 271 problem solving. 333 is short answers. Questions are what's expected. Very fair exams. She is helpful in office hours. Lab teaches you scientific writing skills. Very funny, makes class fun.

Shes ok, nothing great but not bad. Easy class. Teaches with PP and posts them on Blackboard after class. Helpful in office hours. Only 2 HW assignments. Should do the book readings; short, easy read. Regardless if you study, go to the review session the night before exams (only 3 exams). Review sessions are REALLY helpful- guaranteed at least a B.

I have to say that Dr. Hamill is amazing. She really came through for me. I am applying to grad schools and one of my recommenders wasn't able to submit my letters. Even though I only Dr. Hamill for two classes (and didn't even do that well) she wrote my letters and submitted them before the deadlines with very little notice. Just exceptional!

Her Dev Bio class is much more interesting and fun compared to her genetics class. You can easily achieve an A as long as you come to class and study the notes. She keeps the class fun and the lab correlates well with the class.

What's so fun about Dr H is that she keeps her lectures and labs fresh. She constantly seeks to innovate in her courses. This compells students to bring their 'A' game, but the rewards are there for hard workers. No matter what, Dr H's enthusiasm brings the best out in students of all abilities. I had a blast and give her credit for raising my GPA.

National grant and research fellowship recipient, published author in peer-reviewed journals, multi scholarship award winner, Dr H is a standout. Her genetics class is always oversubscribed. I wasn't in her research lab, funded thro a national grant, but I did enter a PhD program thx to her help. And she's way hot, in a professorish sort of way!

Dr H motivated me in the classroom with her research experience and scholarship. She studies cell division--searching for data at this level requires advanced technology and often many years of intensive lab work before publication. In her lab, I acquired experience (and recommendations) that led to offers from top medical schools. One of the best!

Before taking this class, I hated genetics. But due to Dr. Hamill's teaching and inspiration, my attitude not only improved, but I switched to pre-Med! A great surprise for my parents! Her classes are popular and fill up fast with those wishing to learn a lot and knowing a good grade means what it says. Hamill is one of the best professors at OWU.
