Good news: he doesn't leave you behind. Bad news: his class moves slowly, and we didn't finish all of the material. Had to rush at the end. Online hw was easy enough. Prof Vo LOVES math and will make you excited about it. Lectures are engaging, you won't fall asleep. No cheat sheets allowed, but he grades fairly and tests are like hw.

In general, he's a generous grader. Lectures can be somewhat intense because each class is only 50 minutes. Tests are based on the homework and the homework is on WebAssign. He's very open to explaining homework problems on the board.

HARD to survive even if u put lots of effort to study. Always asking 5 question in 50 minutes and I felt like we are in Math Olympics. No xtra credit. Unannounced test or announce 3 days ahead of test day. Not easy if u have other classes with him. Too many HW and not asking from HW instead he focus on deep detail like u r a graduate student .

Danny has a great mindset for a professor. Hes hard working and clearly cares about his students and makes an effort to be helpful. Hes a good guy. However..... His style is not for everyone. He uses elaborate metaphors for everything which imo makes it a lot harder to understand. Just do the damn problem and explain the logic dont write a novel

Regularly uses absurd metaphors which makes it easier for some but can be tiring if you just want to get through it. Willing to work with students who need help. you have to pay 40$ get access to hw since its online. 10 question tests. will let u use study worksheets he provides in class to help u w tests.

Professor Vo is the BEST math teacher Ive ever had. He makes sure everyone in class is following along and if you're lost he will take the time to teach you unlike so many other teachers who just run through the course without caring if all of the students are understanding. 10 question exams, no textbook needed or online hw.

Danny is absolutely amazing. He is super cute and loves teaching. Fair tests and many chances on getting your homework right. Take him 100%. Show up to class on time and be respectful. I wish he taught all math classes. LOVE him.

I personally had a VERY hard time understanding his "stories" that were very abstract and did not use math language. Even my tutors barely understood his notes. He is a nice person though and very fair. If you're naturally good at math you'll probably do well. But if you are the type of learner that needs things explained clearly, he's not the one.

This instructor is amazing! Friendly, passionate about the subject, approachable and always willing to answer any questions his students have. I have no idea why doesn't have 5.0 rating! He is the best guy to take for Math! WebAssign is mandatory and there's a lot of problems, so just take time and do them. Test are based on the homework and easy!

It's not my first semester with professor Vo and every time I take him, the professor just proves his patience with the students, great attitude towards the subject and demonstrates positive mood! MATH110B was the class I struggled most. It was insanely hard, but professor Vo will relief some pressure. It's also easy to make an appointment w/him!

Took him for summer. Danny loves teaching. He assigns online homework, which can be challenging, but worth a lot. Also, he uses good real life examples to explains things and really wants you to understand it. Sometimes he didn't finish the entire problem and that pissed me off a little, but other than that he is a great instructor! Recommended.

Comment:

This professor explains mathematical concepts well and has some humor. He is not flexible in terms of deadline changes, which can be a good or bad thing depending your situation. Unfortunately, this professor isn't always open to questions and rushes his lectures sometimes, which may make his summer courses feel hectic. Overall he's a decent prof.
