Comment:

Didn't care for her personality. She comes across very funny & friendly, but sometimes lets a different side show. When she doesn't like a student she makes it clear. My advice is to show up on time. If you're running late, even 1 minute, don't even bother going. However, the content of the class was interesting. Definitely mixed feelings.

Dara is the best! Seriously, she really cares, and takes the time to get to know her students. She leaves feedback on your homework and lets you know how you need to structure things to have more success in the class. I am not a fan of graphic novels, but she taught me how to love them last semester!

Her class is difficult, but you learn a lot. The only thing I didn't like was that she would talk about her students behind there backs. When someone didn't show up, she always had something to say, and anything that bugged her about another student, she would tell other students.

She told us on the first day that we could address her by her first name, which surprised me, since I've never had a teacher say that before. As a person, she's pretty cool and fun, easy to get along with. As a teacher, though, she can be rather difficult. She puts most of the emphasis on the writing you turn in, which isn't a bad thing, but she's really tough on grading. Overall, though, she gives you good constructive criticism, and her class is pretty fun.
