I think Dr. Bruce makes the best situation out of the interest-limiting materials he had to work with. The hist. of psy. is dry and unstimulating to say the least. The information will probably never be used again, if stored at all... but the univ. sets the course, not Dr. Bruce. Should have term paper and quizzes to break up marking though.

Needlessly difficult class. The multiple choice questions are confusing, and the answer choices are very similar. There is no reason to make tests so hard. As for Bruce, he mumbles.It is very difficult to here what hes saying. As a result it is difficult to learn anything from lectures

Dr. Bruce is GREAT! If, like the people who rated him badly, you are lazy and uninteresting don't bother taking the class, but if you want to learn more than what's on the test then take this class. It was lots of fun, he is funny, the questions he asks in class are not THAT bad and are helpful in learning class material!

Going to this man's class is a waste of time. Slide shows of Darwin's former home and other pointless material that you are never tested on. The material he tests you on is from the book, so read up and study seriously from the book. It is a great book and far more interesting than his class. Smart man; could make class more interesting.

Worst prof I've ever had. Mandatory interviews are demeaning. Calls on you in class to essentially make an ass of you. He seems to enjoy seeing people do badly in the course.

Best ever textbook! Yes, he mumbles a bit; strain alittle it is worth it, or better still sit at the front. Get him to tell you his Sotheby's/Darwin story. Too good! Tests aren't easy, but if you do the work you'll do fine.

Its a pity he gets such a poor rating in a certain way - I really liked his textbook (the Raymond Fancher) but itlacked famous theorists yet I would agree that his course tests are much too difficult and he strikes me as somewhat 'disattached' socially.

Profs should have microphones in theatre classes. He mumbles, so is hard to understand. He is not boring, but some people find psych boring. Take notes from his slides and you'l be fine. Apparently reading the book helps too. (so they say)
