Dr. Hague is literally the sweetest professor I have ever had. He is so kind and loving and is incredibly knowledgeable about the subject material. His class is organized, and it is so clear he wants students to succeed. Before our final, he invited us all to go to Don Joaquin's and eat lunch with him which was a blast. Take class from Dr. Hague!

Comment:

I have taken several Spanish classes from Hague and enjoyed them all. He really knows his material and enjoys teaching it. His teaching style allows for plenty of participation and discussion and he grades fairly. For this specific class: the readings are provided online and are the basis for the final exam.

Best professor I've ever had. He makes class fun with optional taco trips to the best taco shop in Provo. He also translates Spanish and English for a living so he knows his stuff. Take his class if you want to master Spanish.

HE IS AWESOME!! A great choice for Spanish. His criteria is very clear, his tests are great if you know the study guide. He was always helpful outside of class, if you stopped by his office. I enjoyed his class, and he often has surprise quizzes at the beginning of class, but they are only worth about 1% of your final grade! Great choice!

My actual favorite professor ever. Not kidding. Profe. Hague is so helpful and he has a wealth of knowledge to offer. He's willing to work with you and he helps you with pretty much anything you need. I'm really happy I have a couple more classes to take from him before I graduate.

Dr. Hague is one of my favorite professor's that I have taken at BYU. His lectures are amazing and really interesting. It really made me enjoy coming to class. His tests are really fair and straightforward. I loved this class, and would absolutely recommend him.

Dr hague is so straightforward that you think he must be trying to trick you, but he is not. almost every assignment in his class was a completion grade, which ended up being about 55% of the overall grade. the tests are super easy if you just study. stay on top of the syllabus. Learning suite showed that about 75% of the students got an A

Most straightforward class I've ever had at BYU. Everything on his tests is on the study guides so you don't have to worry about random details. I took the second midterm and the final without opening the textbook, his slides cover it all. Super interesting class though, I retained more information than normal and would recommend it for sure.

This class was a miserable experience. I have had no idea what I was supposed to be learning all semester. The tests are ridiculous. He has PowerPoints everyday in class, he never refers to the slides so I never know what's important or not. He doesn't do a very good job preparing you for the test. Would not recommend this class.

The class is great, I would highly recommend Prof. Hague any day. He cares about the students and the class had clear expectations and wasn't stressful at all. This is the only time I have rated a professor on here cuz Dr. Hague is a boss so I had to. He is super helpful, he makes a somewhat boring class really fun, he gives study guides that are exactly what you need to know for the tests, he is understanding, he cares about his students, and he is way funny. One of the best professors I have ever had.

Hague is the best! He was one of my favorites. His class is pretty consistent each time with power point presentations. You can tell he loves the students and the class. His tests were super easy! He doesn't give out too many assignments and it just a good class overall!

Prof. Hague is a great teacher. I was upset that I bought the textbook because the tests are based on what he talks about in class. Take good notes and try to get together a google doc for the study guides he gives and you will do well. Ave. final grade in his class this semester is a 91%.

Professor Hague is one of the best professors in the Spanish department. He gives tests that challenge you and help you learn but they are not impossibly hard. His Spanish is easily the best in the department (apart from the native speakers).

Dr. Hague is a great teacher. He is very good at teaching grammar and makes sure that the students are understanding the material. He teaches the grammar so well because he knows it really well, and he knows the reasons behind all of the rules. He is very helpful and flexible with his office hours. He has a very good sense of humor. Class is fun.
