Dave's classes are very interesting; the lectures are great. He's easy to approach and as long as you put the work in, the class can be very enjoyable. Lots of good material (the films he showed were some of my favorite documentaries shown in any of the classes I've taken so far). Too bad this was his last semester teaching Art 2. :/

The class wasn't one I really wanted to take, I had to for my major. The class wasn't especially interesting and his textbook was tedious. The midterms are very important, and if you study you will be fine, but there is a lot of specific questions for dozens of art pieces. Nice guy. Take him if you need to.

Very interesting teacher. Easy to listen to, very knowledgeable. Helpful. If you talk to him and join in on discussions you will do well in the class. Extra credit opportunities frequently throughout text & within different research. Amazing class if you take him for Art History.

David is very uppity and loves to talk about himself so be ready for that but he does know his stuff and you will definitely learn from his class. He can be condescending at times which is annoying but just be prepared for it. I wouldn't take a class from him again.

Dave seems like he really doesn't like his job. His notes make it hard to understand what you are supposed to be taking down. He chooses favorites in the class and is very insensitive to theothers. I will never take another class from him, and I do not recommend anyone taking a class from him. He killed my interest in Art History.

DC was super annoying just because he dovoted his life to art he expects you to do the same before each midterm I wouldnt do the chico scene because you totally need the whole weekend to study! Dont take this because you think it'll be easy its not!! He wrote his own text book so read ahead each chapter!

Dave Cooper is an awesome teacher. He employs all different kids of teaching methods. He uses models, videos, lecture, reading, class interaction! You really enjoy and look forward to going to his classes. Although he takes attendance seriously, you don't want to miss all the materials and extras covered in class.

I love Dave! I have taken both Art 2 and Art 4 and he really made learning these classes enjoyable. If your looking for a class to slide by, this is not it. It will take dedication and interest to succeed in this class. Dave is super cool and really makes learning fun!

At first i really couldnt stand this teacher with his lame jokes and cockiness. But then we started getting into way more interesting material but his jokes stayed lame. Overall i enjoyed his class and the movies we watched and the architecture we discussed.

Dave is a great teacher and enjoys his job and it def shows in the classroom! i am taking him again for art 4! Uses an online textbook that he created and he is very helpful and clear in his assignments and his reviews for tests! awesome teacher with a great sense of humor!

He is a competent lecturer. I didn't have much of an interest in art history before taking the class, but that quickly changed. Take detailed notes because he doesn't list every important piece of info in his slides. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, he wrote his own textbook(s) for the class, which was available on disk for free.

He makes the class super cool because he is passionate for his job, which is very important to catch students that have to take a class because no options. I loved his class. He explains the importance of the art through history. I learned a lot. I won't remember any name and any date, but I know how art was and is used for propaganda

Mr. Cooper is more than you could ever hope for in a teacher. He has an amazing wealth of knowledge and more than that, tons of real life experience with the subject he teaches .show up on time, SILENCE PHONE, and pay attention and you will learn a lot from him. He is very laid back unless you are disrespectful and Really makes the class super fun!

I love art history but its hard to have two hours of slide show lecture every day. Also sometimes i feel that mr. cooper was playing favorites and was a little arrogant. I will applaud him on his knowledge of the subject matter and he always gave the information you needed for the test.

I despised every time I had to go to this class. I LOVE Art History (its my major) and he made it extremely tedious and boring. He was completely unhelpful when I had any questions. He knows a vast amount on the subject, but doesn't seem to care if you are comprehending any of it.I have to take another one of his classes and I am dreading it!

Cooper is the kind of guy who comes to class in Hawaii shirts and sandals. He's quiet, laid back and friendly, but not your typical Honors professor. We didn't read a single book! Don't buy the dictionary required for HON2, we didn't use it once. All we did was compare and contrast images. I didn't feel like I learned enough about the art that way

So pretty much Mr. Cooper is a great professor. His class is never boring and he a pretty funny guy. The tests are VERY well made. He makes sure that you know your stuff... studying the night before will not get you anything above a C on his tests. But he does supply you with the necessary information and a very thorough study guide. GREAT GUY.
