This was an WEB 2000 class and I learned some but I would have never taken this class over the summer. The amount of reading compared to any class I have EVER taken. His online set up was TERRIBLE. He is really vague in exactly what he is looking for. "F" for clarity and e-learning set up. No lectures :(. "Read this and tell me your thoughts"....

He is a great professor! He makes the class interesting and easy to want to come to class. He does take attendance every class. There is a lot of reading. He does very well at answering any questions you have. There are 2 written exams that you do outside of class and one research/argumentative paper. He does grade easy if you follow guidelines.

Amazing professor for guiding discussions and teaching the material. Gives some assignments that will challenge you followed by a non-traditional final exam. If you are someone who consistently get A's then don't be surprised if you get a B in this class.

Great lecturer! HE is really passionate about the topic. He is funny too. TONS of reading.. there are two exams, the mid-term and final. Both papers and both online. Then the final paper. But he allows you to submit 2 drafts to have him look over before the final paper is due. Show up to class, pay attention and you will do good.

Such a brilliant and passionate teacher! Best instructor I have ever had at Western. It is a very hard class, he will push you to your limits but you will feel like you are getting so much out of it and he will help you every step of the way if you ask! Plus I think he is hilarious

Professor Paul is a true academic who has a passion for teaching. His Biomedical Ethics course was fascinating and I learned a lot about critical decision making in the medical field. Be sure to attend every lecture and lab session! Exams are in essay form so don't wait until the last minute (like I did often times) to study. Phenomenal professor!

Great instructor, but in order to understand the material you have to go to the classes. The class was tough but very well organized and Paul tells you exactly what he expects. Exams are all essay format.

This class is kinda tough. I think Mr. Paul is trying to cover too much info in one semester. No chance to talk or discuss things in class, only Mr. Paul lecturing the whole period. Had a discussion lab but had to cover more class material, didn;t get to discuss anything. All essay tests and timed, no computers. Not what I thought I was signing up

Great class, great teacher. Mr. Paul is an incredibly interesting and witty person, definitely keeps the discussion flowing when you're in a small discussion group like this. He could bring up questions that made me think of things in a different light, with better understanding. He is passionate about what he teaches, and he is very accessible.

Intellectual, witty, compassionate and passionate... that is how I would describe this teacher. Pray you get a TA who sees eye to eye with the teacher, my TA sucked. All tests are in long essay form.

Dr. Paul is phenomenal. He is not only a great teacher who knows a ton about the subject he teaches, he is passionate about it as well. Biomedical Ethics is by far my favorite class I've ever taken. It is difficult, but if you read the chapters and take notes in class you will do fine. Exams are all essays, but it is not as hard as it seems.
