Comment:
If you've had Peddle in an upper philosophy course you know he is an amazing professor. He stimulates conversation in a small classroom setting of people who really care about the subject. I feel it's hard to realize how great a professor he is in a class full of 1st years who have to do the course for the credit and could care less about philosphy

David Peddle is a God among men with the poise of a mighty Polar Bear and the keen wit of a freemason. His classes are informative and helpful; material is presented with an unceasing passion reminiscent of a young Levar Burton. Ignore the bitter ramblings of monkey-in-a-suit business students who reject what is beyond them; Peddle is smart.

If you obediently regurgitate what is force fed without actually using your brain then Peddle is for you. However, if your in the habit of using your grey matter, prepare for immaturity and hostility.

He was a great prof, very helpful and very clear. He made people more involved when all they wanted to do was stare at the wall and ignore what was going on, and he made sure that everyone understood everythign before going on. He was also really funny and kept class interesting. I did the philosophy course as a random elective and i was glad i did

Thought he was a bit of a jerk at first but realised he really does care about his students. He has a way of making abstract concepts very clear and easy to understand. really enjoy philosophy 2809. Don't miss too many classes, he hates it.

Perhaps Philosophy just isn't for me ... course was pretty interesting for a couple of weeks, then it started to make no sense at all. Lucky for me, I got out while I still could. If I had to hear this man say, "You, what's your name again?" one more time I think I would have shot myself in the foot. What an arrogant SOB.

HATED every minute of the course. It was garbage and pointless. Who wants to waste their time with Philosophy? Only did it cause I had to! If you are going in for a philosophy degree, I hope you enjoy unemployment. Peddle needs to get off his high horse and stop being a horrible and rude professor! AVOID!! SUCKS!

Shame on anyone who dislikes Peddle. Hes interesting, fun and informative in the classroom as well he makes himself available to students whenever possible if they need help. He is the BEST prof at this school, just DO NOT take his classes if you think you can **** philosophy, because trust me, he will make you look stupid.

Too much attention is focused on the text, and not enough on the concepts. Philosophy is about ideas, not the written word.

It cracks me up when I read these things how people actually thing Philosophy is useful. Well, I knew it would be crap, and Peddle just confirmed it. Only take it if you HAVE to for your degree, or if you are wasting your time with a Philosopy degree. Peddle loves to put innocent ppl on the spot!!!!

He's the most controversial prof at Grenfell- but he is also the most challenging, fair, and open-minded. People who dismiss him are ignorant and insecure. If you want to expand your borders, there's no better prof- he's challenging but rewarding.
