Awesome math teacher. Always makes references about himself. All of his stories were pretty funny. And its very funny when he pretends on what his wife and her family looks like. Anyways I'd recomend you that you sign up in his class if you have to take MAPB1. Best math teacher ever.

petrie is a nice and he tries to make the class fun by telling stories, BUT he sometimes goes off on them way too much and doesn't concentrate on teaching the class. attendance is mandatory. tests aren't too hard, but they take a long time to finish. homework is tedious and some problems that are assigned aren't even used at all! overall, class=ok

Petrie is a really nice guy and tries to make the class fun with his jokes, but sometimes digress' way too much.If u take him be prepared to be marked off test for stupid mistakes.He mistakenly marked me off about 10% off my test.Argue for more point during office hours.DOUBLE check ur own points! Do all EXTRA CREDIT and hw to pass! Easy B/C Class.

i hated his class. attendance is mandatory and he'll view u somewhat negatively if you miss a day. His tests are ridiculous and his lectures go by so fast you have to ask him to slow down or repeat what he just did every single time. Im glad its over, i hated his class. u really ahve to study for this class

Attendance is definitely mandatory. His tests are pretty difficult if you don't understand the material, which was most of the class. His lectures are way too fast. His idea of slowing down is him speeding through the material and then waiting 2 minutes for us to catch up. Very arrogant and pretty much a terrible instructor.

Overall, he is a poor and lazy teacher. If you want to learn how to be a good teacher & utilize technology, you will learn close to nothing in this class. Assignments are simply not relevant. He is disorganized in regards to the grading and due dates of his assignments. Some of his comments/jokes may be offensive to women.

He's silly but not a very good teacher.I never really paid attention cause I already took the math before n so I just sat in the back doing hw. He was fine with that but a lot of other ppl were struggling.Attendance is mandatory.If you have a problem with whatever, tell him early on!! He was really upset when a guy told him the day before the exam

Attendance mandatory. Miss more than 3 classes and you can't turn in HW for points. Random extra credit. Class was easy for me but most people are struggling. It's all algebra. First test was very old/faded & first question was written incorrectly. Second was a take home test. If you want to skip class, take someone else. You don't learn from him.

EASY class. He's off in his little world sometime but the overall contents of the class was easy. Give you lots of time to do projects and toward the end of the semester, you could pick to take the final or have your grade finalize at the last project. If you choose not take the final then you'd finished with the class 2 wks before the semester end

He is a horrible teacher! His lectures do not make sense he gives two examples in the notes that do not even apply to the homework. He is insane about attendence. Overall he is a NOT a good teacher. I do not recommend taking this class.

Ok...MTED301 is, by far, the biggest waste of time...EVER! Petrie was a semi-funny guy through it all though. His tests, however, were completely irrelevant to the subject material. On a multiple choice test, he asked what a "byte" was, and didn't even provide us with the correct answer, so everybody got it wrong. Daam you PETRIE!
