I learned in the last few weeks that the class was somewhat interesting when I paid attention. However, I rarely paid attention. There were maybe 3 students who were engaged and consistently went to class. Everyone else skipped and signed each other in. The class was boring, and the prof droned. Take it with someone else. I deserved my grade tbh

Professor Aiken does not make philosophy any less confusing. You have to search through the readings and syllabus to find what he's looking for in terms of homework, and it is incredibly hard to study for.

Least favorite professor. He drones on and on and uses words that no one understands to define bigger words that no one understands. It's hard to know what to take notes on because he gets side tracked so easily. There's little to no class discussion (whenever he asks questions there's an awkward silence). He's a nice man, but an awful teacher.

Dr. Aiken is a warm, caring individual who will generally take an interest in students. Frankly, he is the only department head I've met at Gordon who does not have his head stuck up his butt. Those who say he looks like a muppet-perhaps should take Dr. Reid's class in Christian ethics.
