Amazing guy. He has the patience of a saint, and the humor of a comedian. He's awesome. He really knows his stuff as he used to teach at Westport High and UMD at the same time. He's so laid back and is really helpful when asked. He is an amazing man and awesome teacher. I definitely recommend him.

David's level of patience is astounding. He really makes sure you know what your doing in the darkroom, and walks you through it step by step. He does have the tendency to make you feel a bit stupid at times, but overall he's a great guy and professor and I'd recommend his class to everybody. David Allen for president.

Dave makes you work hard in his class, but he critiques in a way that isnt discouraging. i my work and my eye has improved dramatically thanks to him, and i am able to look at him as a colleague as well as a prof. just by his demeanor and his ability to be open and honest. he is by far the most influential prof i have had so far.

Made you feel like you weren't @ school.. just taking class for fun. Gave great examples of past students works and ways to achieve what you are looking for. Materials are expensive, but worth it. Ample time in photo lab outside of class to do prints as well.. i loved it.

Really knows his stuff. He's an amazing teacher who is totally willing to help in any way possible. I learned so much in his class and would recoment it to anyone... art major or not. It's worth the time and money if you're interested in photo. It's also very easy if you try.

David is a really nice guy. If you dont have much to say to him then he might not have much to say to you either, but if you open up toward him you'll see he is quick to smile and very easy to get along with.
