This professor really dissapointed me. Teaches from the powerpoint and expects you to know them, but during lecture will spend 30 seconds on a slide with all of the information, and 5 minutes on a slide with a picture. His explanations also are not very clearl or logical, and he tends to talk in circles sometimes.

Extremely nice and approachable. 4 exams, all of which are multiple choice and taken online, so you can google anything your notes don't cover. However they are kind of tricky. Don't buy the textbook. 6 random quizzes are given throughout the semester at the end of class periods and you can use your notes. He keeps your 4 best grades. Easy grader.

"volcanoes come in different flavors..." Dave was a great professor. His lectures were for the most part interesting, but if the subject matter was boring he was able to make it fun. He and the TAs were very helpful, and you have a problem if you think his tests are hard. He loves what he does and he will get you interested, too.

He's a really good guy and presents the material really clearly. Tests can be a little ridiculous, but he curbs them to compensate. Lectures range from pretty interesting to pretty boring. If you have to take EES 21 definitely take it with Anastasio.

Uses lots of slides but jumps around from subject to subject. Not clear or logical in the way he presents the information. The tests are ridiculously hard, you have to study a LOT for them. Classes are so boring.

Shows lots of slides, so falling asleep is a given. Often has trouble with the projector. He covers the same thing multiple times during the semester, so class tends to get very boring. Also, there are required field trips during the lab.
