I took his pysh history class over 10 years ago and I still talk about him. The lessons I learned in that class will stay with me forever. He is an amazing teacher and as long as you follow the lectures and the reading, you will do fine. He lets you know what he will be looking for on the tests as well. He truly is the best teacher I have ever had

Dr. Beisel is truly a professor who has a passion for education; he really gets his students engaged. If you ever need help, he's there after class. His grading is fair, you honestly get what you put into your work. Skip class, and you won't pass. His History of the Holocaust course was amazing! He makes you laugh so much, but can make you cry too.

He is extremely educated and yes he thinks highly of himself. But, aside from that which you will simply get used it he opens your eyes to so many issues we are unaware from! Amazing lectures that make you realize the importance of history. Yes he is a tough grader if you do not follow the assignment it is a definite F.

Comment:

"Informative" would not explain how much I've learned in this course. Dr. Beisel dedicated his life to history, and the lectures reflect his knowledge and experience. He will make you sad and laugh at the same time. Having said that, there's much reading involved, as well as a few essays and quizzes. Hard but fair grader.

I believe he is a good professor however, his class is difficult. He lectures from the beginning to the end of class. Rarely writes any notes on the board so you have to be quick to catch up on what he is saying. Does not review what will be on the test and the readings in the text are ridiculous. It's not what I expected and I did not like it

This man is a genius. I recommend him to everyone because he honestly changed my life and the way I view the world. He inspires me. However, one must work hard in his courses and must genuinely care about current issues in the world.

Basically, I love this class and Beisel. However, his tests are extremely difficult and he doesn't tell you what is on the tests. He expects you to read 30 pages a night and rants constantly. That class drove me crazy, I do not recommend it AT ALL. SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS AND STAY AWAY!!!!!

Dr. Beisel is amazing! He is the best professor I have ever had! His classes are absolutely fascinating. He teaches things that you will never learn anywhere else. Additionally, he is hilarious and makes every class fun. He will go on rants about any random subject that are both funny and educational. He is one of the biggest influences on my life!

Great teacher. Great man. Opened my eyes to a whole different way of thinking in a very straight forward humorous way. Take psychohistory 1 and 2 and you will come out a different person. He makes you complete every assignment or else you fail. The assignments are cake as long as you pay attention.

Absolutely amazing. Your final paper in this class makes your grade. 4 big tests toatal, got A's on 3 and the last got easily a C because I didn't care at that point. Sat in class and took notes every day and barely read the textbook. A on final project and he passed me with an A++ HIGHLY RECOMMEND MR.B!! He cares about all of his students.

I took him for Western Civ IH, IIH, and Psychohistory I. He is a brilliant lecturer and an overall great professor. His exams are essay format which worked for me. If you work hard and attend class, you will do well.

Some of the most interesting lectures about our society are to be had in this class. There isn't much homework, aside from a couple of essays and chapter reading, but his exams are made of essays, which only require a few specifics to receive a decent grade. Get to know this guy; when you look further than his angry exterior, he is amazing.

If you are one of those students that feel like you want to push yourself a little further, Beisel is the right professor! He is very knowledgeable in his field and you will learn a lot if you listen. Very easy to listen to. Strict, but in a good way. One of my favorite professors at RCC!

If you want to get yelled at ever class about how our generation sucks then go ahead and take him. Thought he was going to be a good teacher from the first day of class but that thought faded quickly. This guy thinks very highly of himself, he is not a good fit at RCC maybe at harvard but not here. He is very intelligent just cant stand him.
