go to his discussions. he's clear. pretty good and loud. enthusiastic. microlessons arent too bad. just gotta participate a little. but in order to do well in his class, you have to know the material. microlessons and his class discussion questions are based off a lot of the material.

Dave is really excited and energetic about the subject matter and explains most things very clearly. He challenges everyone to develop writing skills and overall wants everyone to benefit from taking Hum Core. Go to his office hours because they are extremely helpful for essays and whatnot. He also does microlessons which aren't too bad.

His class is usually worth going to. If you participate in class (even if your answer is not correct) you are likely to get a better grade.

Awesome teacher. Very helpful, asks for class participation, great comments on essays. Enthusiastic about subject matter, and very helpful in recognizing that college students (especially freshmen) have a lot on their plates.

Good teacher. Grades a little hard. Promotes student collaboration and study groups. He prefers to guide students to answers and refrains from telling them the answers. It was helpful for some but not for others. I personally learned quite a bit.

I did not like this professor. He never said anything that had any significance. He expected the students to answer questions, and while this can be helpful periodically, it really sucks when he never anwsers your questions.

Dave is an enthusiastic discussion leader and provides excellent feedback on essays if you ask. He grades on the harder side of reasonable and seemed to rely on our intelligence to do well on the final-he didn't make any kind of study guide or handout we could fill in as other section leaders did.

Nice guy, but displays an alarming inability to think outside of the box. I've taken much better history courses with real professors.
