I like him. He is straight-forward on what is due and what he expects and he really just wants to help people learn a little more. Excel and cengage assignments are easy but, beware on the midterm and final because they can be tricky. Its a good class and he is one of the better teachers in the computer science department.

do not take him for an intro class. he is probably the smartest but most demanding cs prof at loyola. his grading scale is non-existent as he curves everyone's grade around the average of the class. a lot of assignments and 2 exams but even if you bomb them (which you probably will), your overall grade will not be lower than a B/B+.

You will have A LOT of projects but they are easy to manage. He's always an excellent mentor and this is the third time I've had him. He's a good man. There is almost always a curve because he doesn't set the bar we do. He sees how far we can go and grades based on everyone's performance.

OMG THE ASSIGNMENTS! Your course work will be 8 programming projects and 2 tests. I bombed both tests cause i dont test well but got As on all the assignments. Needless to say I have never been so proud of an A-.

Do not take CS 201 with Dr. Binkley. He is nearly impossible to understand. While he is very helpful one-on-one, his lectures almost always go way over my head. He obviously is not used to teaching beginning Java programmers.

Great teacher for the subject. Very willing to help students during office hours, and makes class interesting. He might not be good for "intro" CS classes, as the poorly written comments below indicate (unlegible isn't a word), but as a real CS teacher, he knows his stuff. GREAT MAN, BINKLEY!

horrible teacher, looses handed in work and blames you for it. tests are nearly impossible to complete in the time given and are given randomly with little if any notice. notes are speratic and unlegible. tries to be nice when talking one on one.
