i LOVE booth!! hes one of the nicest people i've met and he is super understanding and kind. my class is themed around the bible and nature themes within it and how it connects to current environmental issues, and booth very clearly understands the situation and is very good at communicating with students.

David Booth is truly a blessing from above. He restored some of my faith in humanity by being so positive and accepting but also tore it down through his class that related the environment and the bible. He builds his students up, and I walked out of every class feeling more intelligent.

Prof. Booth is a very inspirational man! Every time I walk out of that class, this may sound stupid but, I feel "philosophical". He is very intelligent and the class are always discussion based, sometimes group discussions, peer reviewing . I got 3 papers + final and they weren't so bad. Listening and participating in class will be just fine!

Had David for EnCon religion. His class was incredible and quite literally changed my life. He cares about all his students and is always very accomadating to different backgrounds and knowledge. He is one of the best and most inspiring professors I have ever had and I can't wait to take more classes from him.

Best professor I have ever had. Incredibly articulate, and has a vested interest in his students' lives, success, and health. On days when you can't get to the readings, you will be fine, because he helps explain everything so well. If you self-identify as male, or if you don't, take his classes on feminist theology.

Comment:
Taken for En Con. David is both incredibly smart and patient. However, for an 8-a.m. it was largely lecture and little class discussion. Emphasizes gender and historical context within the Bible; papers were very low-key and midterm/final required thorough knowledge of a critical terms list + 1-2 essays.

David Booth is one of the most genuine, dedicated, caring, intelligent, inspirational professors I have ever had. Professor Booth made this course incredibly fulfilling. I would take another class with him in a heartbeat if I had room in my schedule. He is always willing to stay after class to chat, and he cares about and understands students.

I've taken two classes with David, and they're both two of the best I've taken at Olaf. Take a class from him even if you have no interest in religion. He is fascinating, eloquent and has inspired me to learn and think like no professor ever had. He grades a bit hard on papers, but it's absolutely worth it.

I took his class years ago. However, I have never forgotten it. As an older person, I still use many of the lessons learned in the class. A conversation is like a tennis match where each person must observe, listen, and return the ball. Also, short and simple sentences are valuable in written language. Be ready, he is extremely smart.
