Comment:

he is a horrible teacher, meaning that he doesn't teach it in an understandable way; he teaches it as if the class is full of advanced scientists. His labs are so hard and advanced for a gen ed class, and his powerpoints suck. I would never take his class again and now I prob have to take ANOTHER science class from failing this one.

Do NOT take this class. The class is pretty easy. Just study the study guides and labs and you should be able to get a B if not better. The labs were a pain. Questions were worded terribly, and the TA was bad at explaining stuff. The class itself is beyond boring!! Don't even need to show up. You probably wont.

Probably the worst class I've ever taken. The lectures are super boring you dont have to show up because the lecture slides are posted online and all he does in lectures is read off the slides. And the lab is a joke. Its not even a lab its like another math class. Should of dropped out when I had the chance. Save yourself and don't take this class

Dr. Burdige makes this class fun and easy. He is available if you need help, and extra credit is offered on the syllabus. The text book was essential to passing the course as the test questions come directly from the book and the lecture slides. He's an easy grader, but he does give surprise quizzes throughout the semester.

Nice guy. No complaints about this class. It's very easy. Just show up for class (there's no homework except labs) and study. The labs are difficult sometimes and might require you to get the professor to help you, but otherwise you should be good to go. Buy the book and read it as you go along so you don't fall behind the whole semester.

Terrible teacher, labs are absolutely ridiculous. Going to class is very unnecessary because all he does is read the powerpoint. Expect to fail or come close to failing this class. Work seems nearly impossible and test are very difficult.

Nice guy, Horrible Teacher!It was evident that he didn't know the material.He never knew the answer to any of my questions. Instead he beats around the bush and cause confusion. When he is asked to work complicated equations in class, he makes up excuses not to do it, such as "its basic algebra." Be prepared to teach yourself!

He's a very nice guy but he doesn't know the material. The only way to pass the tests is to read the book and looking over his power points. Going to class is pointless because all he does is read straight from the power points which are already on blackboard. When you ask a question, he never knows how to directly answer it. I don't recommend him.

He assumes that you know much more about scientific math than you most likely know. GO TO THE PHYSICS TUTORS FOR HELP. Also, make sure to take notes only on the important things. He has a tendency to talk about unrelated things. this is not a class that you take for an "easy A"

Lectures at crazy high level. Homework from hell. Read the text...before AND after each lecture. Don't get behind! Do the old exam questions posted on his web site and study those to do well on essay exams. Many failed/dropped our class, prob because they only studied lecture notes and did not read. An "A" is achievable with some effort Good luck!

Nice guy, but.....Be prepared to read all material and teach yourself. You will not learn test material from lectures. Tests are all essay/very tough grader. Gives extra credit, but that's just to buffer for subjective/strict grading. No time in class to ask questions. Not very approachable outside of class. An A is not impossible, but not easy.
