Comment:

The class is very assignment heavy, but he doesn't care if you do the work in or out of class as long as you get it done. He is a very smart man who is knowledgeable about the subject but not great at teaching it. He makes tests unnecessarily complicated with a lot of rules on how to write answers, and he was 10-15 minutes late to every test.

Comment:

True/ False. An unstudiable term is gotcha phrase that another gotcha phrase for another term that you otherwise know all about. Prepare nothing but this on tests. That makes for a surprising and heartbreaking semester. He is a kind man in person, a sedated teacher, and a vicious grader. You cannot avoid taking his classes in the CS Dept.

Ineffective because the mass information covered must be memorized (often over 150 new technical terms/ processes per test/ 2 weeks). His tests are 30 questions that cover 10 of those terms/ processes in graphic detail. No such thing as full credit for any question. HW everyday/ Labs every week. Make friends with an engineer and pray often.

Dr Cozart is a very nice but very unintelligent man that is completely outclassed by every other professor in the building. He seems genuinely confused about what he is teaching and just really brings the quality of the mercer program down considerably by his presence. If this were the only Comp Sci class I took I would never want to take others.

He talks to you like you are 5. Ridiculous waste of time. Would never recommend the class or professor. He grades you on things that hold no bearing on the course material. You could fit this class into a 2 week workshop and get more out of it. Stay far away unless you know NOTHING about computers.

Dr. Cozart is a very nice man, but often seemed confused by his own lectures. The course material and homework assignments were easy to understand, but I found that his grading on tests was confusing and unfair.

Dr. Cozart quite frankly is just not that intelligent. He often teaches material that he personally seems confused by, and it's obvious. I and other students in his classes have been forced to stand up and explain the material when he became too confused to do so himself.

Dr.Cozart is laid back and seemingly always open to suggestion. If you have problems with assignments if you just tell him about it he will help you work it out. Great professor to take at least once.

He is a nice guy, reminds me of a preacher. His tests are a lot harder then you would expect. He is a very patient man and answers questions well. His assignments are demanding and difficult, but he does not grade them hard.

I really like Dr. Cozart. A warm, kind-hearted man, he will help you anytime you need it. He has a heart for students and is very qualified with degrees from Duke. Oh and he loves Star Wars. An asset to Mercer. And not very hard.
