He is by far the worst professor I have ever had period. First off he uses an online textbook from Duke that is outrageously hard to understand. He barely ever uses numbers during lecture, which is the basis of physics, right? You will lose half your points on a problem if you get one thing wrong and tests are worth 70% of your overall grade.

Good guy, Horrible teacher. If it's a clear night and you have lab then everything is fine and the lab reports are easy. If it's cloudy and you have to listen to a lecture, the quizzes are hard. Several times I've emailed him about trying to raise my grade and he doesn't respond. Class can be interesting but not worth it.

Amazing teacher!!! Fun, really energetic--you can tell he wants to make the labs exciting. I am always happy to go to the 8pm lab. Always a treat to be in this class. I wish I had him for ALL my classes!

crazy, great guy but kind of a bad teacher. however his redeeming feature is that he practically throws points at you during the end of the semester. at the very least you will be entertained.

Class was almost too easy. But his grading seems totally random based on the fact that his multiple choice quizes always have multiple answers that could be the right answer, a fact he's even admitted to. Such a fun guy though, the definition of a nerd, but he's fun.

I thought the class was going to be more interesting than it is. DeGraff sometimes explains things and goes on and it makes it seem like he's assuming we all know what he's talking about. Although he does this, he's still a funny guy and does make the class amusing.

Half my class was taking this a second time, and at the end, half the class had to repeat again. DONT TAKE THE FINAL IF YOU CAN AVOID IT. Just didn't do well in his class, though I can't say it was his fault. I unnerstand electricity and circular motion!
