Great professor, but this is his last semester so these comments won't matter come 2018 as he'll have retired.

TAKE NOTES DURING EVERY SPSS LAB. Seriously, it will save your life. The SPSS exam is not as hard as you think. As long as you take notes on how to do all of the commands during lab, you will be fine! It's open note.

A legend in the PR academy of scholars and a great teacher. He teaches his own way, and for some it might be hard to get used to at first, but he is truly one of the best professors at SDSU and in PR. If you have the chance to take his class, do so. His work is cited around the world and he is a world-class teacher who truly cares about learning.

Dr. Dozier is such a goofy, but legit instructor. Not only is he a leader in the field of PR research, but he makes sure students know exactly how to go about conducting research (SPSS). Make sure you're in a group of 4+ people on the project. Sometimes he can be passive aggressive with his comments on your project, but do exactly what he says.

I thought he was great! Interesting lectures. He is really funny and relates well to college age humor. Only a midterm and final and a group project.

He really has his expectations high, yet is unorganized, unprofessional, discouraging and rude. And clearly is not good in teaching. The class has a project,SPSS final and 2 exams on lecture/book. That's a lot to say the least. But it would be easier if the prof. could guide the students and not assume instant professionalism. Very vague, not a pro.

This class is fairly easy if you are a quick learner of SPSS. There are several textbooks required for this class - two of which are handbooks, written by Dr. Dozier himself and cannot be sold back after the semester. I have both of these handbooks "Research Consulting Group Handbook & SPSS for Communicators" that I'm willing to sell for a cheaper

I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone. If anyone else is teaching 600B, take it from them. Dozier doesn't teach the material well, then blames the students.

Dozier is a great professor but the class is very hard. SPSS is the worst!! Not quite enough time for the SPSS test, and the project takes your life away. He does know his stuff and he teaches well. If anyone wants to buy the readers, email me: stooky115@yahoo.com

581 is an undergraduate course catering to graduate students. Be prepared to be expected to type/listen/and absorb spss concepts in about half an hour and expected to regurgitate shortly after. Barely any time for group work. Tests are hard and inaccessible afterward, so you'll end up spending more time on Extra credit, practically mandatory.

Intelligent professor. It's not him that's a hard teacher/grader, it's the class. You have to work very hard to do well(like every college class), but he is very helpful. Has a good sense of humor too.

Dr. Dozier is both an exceptional scholar and professor. He makes a very complex and intimidating subject matter easy to understand. His patience is admirable and sense of humor is endearing. His Harrison Ford-esque appearance coupled with his intelligence is extremely attractive.

Dozier is not very approachable. I was quite interested in methodology of using SPSS. I don't think he uses the correct teaching method to guid students manipulating computer.
