Professor Droney is not helpful at all.... I had him for biostats and he was a horrible teacher for it. He is very unclear in his descriptions and very unorganized. On tests he does not give partial credit. His office hours are not helpful either. The only plus side to his biostats class is that he is a big fan of doing everything on the calculator

I took Biostats with Glover the first time I attempted the course. Glover did not allow us to use SPSS for statistical calculations, nor could we use statistics packages on the calculators. Droney has a very different approach. Much better. Modern, easy, and PASSABLE.

He was very absentminded. He graded unfairly. He was disorganized with his teaching and his lectures. Even though you could make an appointment to see him for help he had no office hours. And on top of all that he was dry and boring. So if you take his class drink a lot of coffee.

Droney is my favorite biology teacher. He is a no nonesense guy who gives you what you need to succeed in his class. If you want a teacher who will feel bad for you and let you have special priveledges he is NOT the guy for you. All the hardworkers, you'll love him!

The subject material is, by nature, a bit dry, but Droney presents it well. Thorough introduction to Biostatistics. Very valuable for future coursework in Biology! Tests and material are tough, but you will gain a lot from the class.
