I really enjoyed all of the classes I have taken with Professor Edgecombe. He is extremely knowledgeable and his lectures are very interesting. One thing I particularly like about him is that he is very clear and he gives you study sheets for his tests. Another nice thing is that you can get a ton of extra credit for going to see plays around town.

This class is amazing! Took it to fill a GER requirement. Dr. Edgecombe is very smart and his lectures (while poor quality for the online class) are good. He really knows his stuff. Definitely taking 412 with him.

I took this online, it was pretty much go at your own pace other than the weekly discussion board posts. Chapter quizes at your own pace, 3 papers (2 2-pagers, 1 6 pager) and an on-campus mid-term and final which are pretty much questions that are on the chapter quizzes. Interesting. Will be taking THR 411 next semester

I had him for 411 and 412. It's an online class but not too hard. Grades consist of chapter quizzes, midterm & final ( on campus), and 3 papers- two 2 pg ones and one 8 pg one, and discussion board postings. Overall pretty easy if you do the work

David is one of my favorite professors. He's easy going, attentive, and you will learn a LOT from his classes. He's got a fantastic sense of humor both on and off camera, and is a wealth of knowledge. He believes helping students produce new, original work in theater. A bit unorganized but he's generous and always works through problems with you.

Took the class as a distance education course. His videos are from 2004, so a little outdated. Email him if you have questions. DO the discussion posts; Show you know the material.

Easy class which makes it fun, and also made it easier for me to retain the information (take note, all of you slave driving professors!) My dog could've gotten an A, but it was still fun.

Quizzes=difficult. I read every chapter and took notes. Felt stupid when I got <50%. Do the extra credit. Study quizzes and study guide and you'll do well on exams. Exams are unusually easy. Lively teacher. Interesting. Cares about students. Clarifies frequently. Ask questions! Very helpful. Truly passionate about what he teaches.

This is a distance ed class, highly informative and interesting. I would have enjoyed it more being physically in a class due to the subject. Tests have about 50 multiple choice questions, and 4 essay questions. He offers extra credit. Great class!

This professor is fun and funny. He's deaf in on ear so sit on his right, unless you want to talk during class and then sit on the other side of the room. the class was easy, though the quizzes on the plays (there's one for every play) varied from imossible to easy depending on wether you did the reading and remembered character's names. STUDY!
