Comment:

Best professor I've ever had. Best teacher I've ever met. If you truly try,, he will help you succeed. I am incredibly heavy hearted to see him go, but so grateful I was able to be inspired by him before his retirement. You just might have odd dreams while taking this class.

I TOOK DR. G FOR BIO 201 AT GATEWAY COMMUNITY COLLEGE. AT FIRST I WAS COMPLETELY LOST. HOWEVER, DR. G WILL NEVER LET YOU FAIL IF YOU ARE DETERMINED TO PASS. HE'S STAYED AFTER WITH ME AND OTHER STUDENTS FOR LECTURE AND LAB. HIS LECTURE'S ARE INTERESTING AND FUN. I WOULD DEF. RECOMMEND TAKING HIM. I WILL BE TAKING HIM AGAIN.

Reading all these mixed reviews about Dr.G, I was very hessatatent to take his class. I didn't want to take a tough professor with an already difficult course. I was wrong! Yes Dr.G is very stern and its kinda difficult to ask him questions but his exams are all based on his lectures Overall awesome guy. Remember always REFERE TO YOU'RE SYLLABUS !

Tough class, tough material, TOUGH instructor! Dr. G does not mess around!! His expectations, rules, policies, etc. are clearly stated in the syllabus!! Gives you the material you need to know. He has the lecture notes available and his tests are based off them. May be a bit rough and rude at times, but he means it in good fun (I think!!).

Not an easy class! Reap what you Sow. Study his handouts a big +++. Very helpful in studying techniques, learn and use it especially the pH. You will def use it in taking micro. Ask questions.... Even after class. The best prof I ever had!! Pay attention to his lectures. He is full of knowledge and experience. !!!

Very difficult class! You have to work hard on it. Dr. G is very concise and direct to the point in teaching. You might feel like you've been toasted from fear (LOL) but Not true, its just in your head. Study hard!!! You will get the grade you deserve! Not a boring Prof. He will give you tips on how to study. Very inspirational. Hats Off!!

This man has been through a lot as a Vietnam medic and working his way up from nothing to get where he is today. He knows his stuff and will teach you everything you need to know for this class, if your willing to put the work in. Also, read your syllabus; ) Very knowledgeable man. I have much respect for Dr. G and grateful i was his student.

Dr. G presented the material in a way that not only made the information interesting, but also facilitated comprehension and retention. This is a teaching style I admire and hope to replicate in the future when teaching patients about their conditions. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone entering a healthcare related profession.

Dr.G. is simply the best. His Lecture notes are what you will be tested on. His experience as a combat medic and physician are beneficial and appropriate to the stories he shares. Anyone who does not succeed in his class just doesn't have the student success skills to enter a health-related field. I recommend him to everyone!

Dr. G is not for the weak. The workload is avg. and he'll tell you the course is hard and he doesn't teach it easy. Study his notes hard they hold the key to the tests. Memorize his syllabus & think before you speak with him. He treats you like a soon to be nurse/doc. He expects you to come in prepared, thinking beyond high school.

At first he may come off as intimidating, but this instructor is an extremely intelligent man! It is not an easy class but he gives you all the information you need to pass this course, so it's really up to the student to manage their time wisely when it comes to this course. Dr G knows his materials and basically hands you everything you need to pass on the first day. At first he may seem intimidating but hang on with him and you might learn something good for your future. Also, if you don't pass his class then you are absolutely not ready for a career in health care. He is the best.

Not good at all. Not helpful. Try asking a question the first day and you'll see. Most of us were scared to ask questions. If you can basically just learn from a lecture and not get your questions answered you'll be fine. If you are stuck, I feel sorry for you. Good luck to everyone brave enough to take this class. Oh and study many, many hours.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Teaches biology from the perspective of a man who was a Vietnam combat medic and is a Podiatrist. Fun having an MD teach biology. He has real-world & clinical experience. Knows his stuff and prepares you for a career in health care or science. Hard but will help you if you ask. High standards. Great labs.

This material is difficult, there is no getting around it. If you want to just get by, this is not the instructor for you. Dr. G. will make you work, he will make you think, but without him I could have never learned this material. Follow his instructions and you will do well. If you are lazy you will have a hard time.

Dr. G is an awesome teacher! He gives you all the material in class and outlines are all on your exams. The class is difficult if you make it difficult. Students are used to teachers reading things for them and being lazy.He teaches you the material, but also teaches you how to ask proper questions. Best instructor I've had overall!
