Comment:
Professor Greer is an excellent professor and a great guy. Definitely one of the harder gen-ed classes but worth it in my opinion! I learned so much from him. 3 major exams and one paper. Exam questions are mainly from lecture ( and he lectures for the whole 1.5 hour ) - textbook is barely used. Very doable class if you put in the time and effort!

By far the hardest general education course I've taken. I am an A student and this was not shown on his tests and essays. He expects you to know everything for a general education course, doesn't follow the book at all, and does not give us a terms sheet like he has his other courses.

DR. Greer is by far the hardest teacher I have ever had, if you think you can just show up and pass that is not the case. He will try to help but it does not work. He expects you to know everything he is talking about before hand and rarely uses the book. For exams he offers a review terms sheet with like 200 words and 6 questions you need to know

Very boring lectures every class. Nothing about his lectures correspond with the text book. If you do not pay attention and take thorough notes, you will not pass the class. I attended study sessions, read the chapters, took notes, and would still receive C's on tests. Most difficult general education class I've ever taken.

He's awesome, lots of Hamilton quotes, he lectures a lot and goes off on tangents most often and expects you to read. You MUST read in order to get an A. He looks for supplemental information you can only find in the text books in test, which are mostly writing. Mid-Term and final are all essay.

He is a really great guy, however his class is hard and he is very specific about what he wants. Don't even tink about using online sources for your paper (Even Databases). Ask him about ping pong, he's a pro. Tests are not all to heard if you know the information & listen to the lectures.

Dr. Greer is a super nice, knowledgable guy. However, he is really hard to get ahold of outside of class. There were a couple accounts where I emailed him concerning my grade, but I never got a reply. Lectures are fairly very dry. He will keep you in class until the very last second. Regardless, you will learn a lot in his class.

Dr. Greer is a very "picky" grader. It is important to be concise and clear with what you are writing. He is a tough grader and his tests are often pretty challenging, but he is one of the best professors I've had. He cares about his students and is always willing to do whatever to make sure you are successful.

Dr. Greer is the best professor at Rochester College. Yes his classes are tough, but they make you think. Your in college you should be good at taking notes. My only complaint is he never gives 100%s. 9 exams, 8 99s, one 96. He said so you have some thing to strive for. Also very good at ping pong.

The class was way too hard for a gen-ed course. Whole grade was just participation and 3 tests, which everyone did awfully on because it's half multiple choice and half essay, and he expects you to remember EVERYTHING... not to mention he will keep you at least 30 secs over lol. But a super smart guy, you'll get your moneys worth of info.

Happy go lucky type. A lot of material to cover in class. Too much reading. I thought the class was tough.

Covers lots of material quickly. Lecture is a bit dry. If you want lecture to be bi-directional, it's up to you to engage him. Still, he competent and is a solid teacher.

Relatively new to the teaching profession, so he still has his zeal. Expect a lot of material to be covered. Lectures are fast-paced, so those who cannot keep up may find them boring.
