I just Love Love Professor Harrison. He was very engaging and encouraging. Also very dramatic and humorous which lightened the mood of the class. He goes through the material and then carries out activities that check to make sure if everyone is on board. Lovely, wonderful and one of the best professors I've had so far. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!

Wow,it seems almost our entire tutorial decided to rate him. Anyway, DH picked great texts, was interesting even at 8AM, put a lot of time into reading and effectively criticizing papers(although I admit having 3/4 of a pg of comments for a 1 pg paper can be intimidating at first),was a fun guy(took us to see Capote),& hes a hottie(snazzy dresser)

I as well can attest to the badassedness of David Harrison. He is a great professor and a great person and you will actually enjoy having to wake up early and go to his class. He can be critical of writing but doesnt kill your grade and he is only critical in ways that will help you get better. I learned a hell of a lot from him this year.

I have Harrison for tutorial also, and I love him. He can seem a little smarmy in the first few weeks, but he's got a good sense of humor, he's really nice, and you find yourself wanting to work hard for his class. Even you're not interested in a particular reading, he makes it interesting. Oh, and he's hot.

I got David's Tutorial--Family Tragedy in Literature. He is one of the most helpful professors I've ever had, and is more than willing to give extra help during his office hours. He's a fairly tough grader, but his comments are helpful. His assignments can be ambiguous, but, like I said, he explains things very clearly during office hours.

He's great at getting classes motivated to speak, which is difficult to do when the class is speaking in a second language. Always energetic, and the readings are very well-chosen.

He's detailed, he's funny, and he has lots of good ways to teach. Accent indeed could be a little more French, and he could use a little less franglais in class, but not a huge deal. Helpful in the writing department.

So engaged with the material. Not the best accent and tried to mold my writing style to his, but, at the same time, he offered me an opportunity to grow as a writer. One of my favorite classes thusfar. Have heard that the Moliere seminar is awesome.
