Comment:

Totally agree with the fact he basically summarizes the textbook each lecture and seems nervous and not confident. Doesn't seem able to stray from the material and make interesting points not stated in the text. Uses "surprise" quizzes to make sure you have some reason to go to class as the power point notes are on-line.

Very overrated. Prof. Leech is very dry, seemingly nervous, and not a very good teacher. He essentially summarizes the textbook with a little powerpoint presentation each class. On the flip side, I did really well, and I skipped a lot of classes during the second semester.

Kinda dry, but it's research methods and he tries to shake things up. Extremely approachable, helpful, personable. Generous marker, clear expectations. Lots of group work with 6-7 group members. Flexible and listens to student concerns.

He is a nice guy but not such a great lecturer. The class was extremely boring - it was difficult to force myself to go and I rarely skip classes. Very hard marker! I got my first C+ ever from him. If you can I strongly recommend you take a different course to fulfill your degree requirements.

Over a great guy - quick to reply to any concerns, and is very helpful. Doesn't make the course material very exciting, but his approachability makes him one of the best profs in poli-sci...highly recommended!

I quite enjoyed Leech's class, not particularly because of the exciting subject matter of research techniques, but rather because of him. Friendly, cute, approachable and a good prof. I'll definately take another class of his!
