I grew to love this class over time. In the beginning it was hard to really pick up his teaching style and the lectures felt a little dry. However, once you separate the test/grade from his lectures, it becomes a really interesting class. Read the textbook for the test but pay attention to lecture for fun details.

I am taking Lopatto's Intro Statistics 115 course, and I chose him because he is a psych prof. I find Lopatto's teaching style confusing and unclear. Math is not my favorite, but I am not terrible. I have gone in and talked to him, which has been helpful, but I would not recommend the class. Get someone who gives actual notes.

Lopatto is such a great prof. He really knows his behavior analysis, and you can tell that he's passionate about it. The few books he has us use are really interesting, and the other readings aren't super necessary as long as you pay attention to his lectures (which are fascinating).

I became totally interested in behavioral psych because of his teaching. He is a great professor, and I learned so much from his classes. The only thing sucks about him now is that he is not teaching this year, and therefore I have no chance of taking any of his 300 level classes, and I am graduating soon. Damn.

Lopatto is one of my favorite professors ever. He is hilarious and a wonderful lecturer. I loved attending his class and actually looked forward to it. he's not teaching this year but look for him next year.

Very cryptic in both personality and teaching style. It's hard to know what information you're supposed to take away from his lectures which are often driven by student questions. Has a very dry sense of humor. Doesn't make an effort to help struggling students unless you approach him first. Then he can be very accomodating.

i love lopatto! he is the only prof i can actually stand at 8 am. always has good research stories to tell and makes funny jokes. i think the topic would have been hell if it werent' for him. really easy, too...practically does your hw for you if you ask for help, and very few readings...

Terrible subject which is not his fault. If you don't know statistics really well or have previous experience in psych 200 levels, you're screwed. When you go to him for help he answers questions with more questions. In this particular class, that is NOT HELPFUL.
