DML is one of the reasons I chose to major in PPA. He is an amazing professor who cares greatly about his students. Though a tough grader, you leave the class feeling accomplished.

Comment:

DML is one of Pomona's greatest teachers. He's engaging and humorous (though often unintentionally), and has nothing but genuine interest in his students. Though very busy, he makes time to meet with students and is dedicated to helping them understand concepts. He is a demanding teacher, but only assigns relevant, useful work. My favorite.

As good as they get. DML knows his stuff, has an engaging teaching style, and is very down to earth and approachable. It's even worth getting up at 9 AM to take his class.

This guy wrote the book on social science. He's intellectually well-grounded, very clear, and incredibly knowledgable about american politics. Opinionated but fair, and always trying to push his students to actually think.
