His lectures are heavy in the sense that he actually cares to explain the readings to you thoroughly and whatever is covered in class is important. Although attendance is not taken, show up for your own well-being and take notes because he is literally giving you the answers to the assignments and tests. HE IS THE BEST!!!

Really great guy. His lectures and powerpoint slides are extremely straightforward and you barely need to go to class since he posts everything online. Also, in class he basically explains all the important aspects from the textbook readings. He is also very nice and can be super funny at times. He definitely knows how to keep lectures interesting.

Really good prof. He provides lecture outlines, he uses very few visual aids (powerpoint etc.) Though, he pairs a film with each topic. Tries to keep everyone engaged through participation and discussion.

Solid prof. Posts the outline of every lecture online that are super helpful for note-taking and exams. Always engages the class by asking questions to generate a discussion. Open-minded with each student's perspective and tries to make anthropology as relevant as possible.

Professor Murray was such a great Prof! Very clear and detailed in his descriptions of themes and concepts. Some "group" activities in lecture, be prepared to mix and mingle. Puts "skeleton" lecture notes online ahead of time, download them and add to them easily! Nice guy! Also very cute!!

goes at a good pace, not too fast but not so slow that you get bored. The assignments are big but not too difficult if you break them up and use the TA's. Don't leave until the last minute. The exams are fair and he puts a study guide so you're not going in blind. Try and get Jaime as your TA, she's awesome

Great personality, very clear and concise lectures. Repeats things several times to ensure students get the notes down, and says things in different phrases/words to ensure clarity. Does a little review of the main points of last week's lecuture, so you don't have to worry much if you miss it. Great prof, great class.
