If you are doing the assigned reading, it is an absolute easy A. He lectures about the reading by analyzing it. If you dont like English, I expect you won't like his course. Great man and genuinely cares about his students that care about the course. Sit in the front and pay attention and it's an easy A+.

Comment:

The textbook is used for term definitions for one test. Helpful if it's there, not really needed. He requires very minimal (3) speeches, but they are graded VERY harshly. It is very hard to make an A, even a low A on a speech. Attendance is taken every class, and the lectures last an eternity. All and all, not the worst class, but not enjoyable.

Mr. Myer is great. He was my Technical Writing instructor. The assignments are very easy. You'll do well if you come to class and turn everything in on time. The information covered is relevant to many career fields. He's a good lecturer. His jokes are hilarious, as are many of his examples. I recommend him to friends as often as possible.

You have to have the textbook to read the selections he assigns, because he will give quizzes regarding what you read. If you have read, the quizzes are very easy and sometimes he lets you take them home. Your grade is an avg of quiz grades, midterm, and final. His midterm and final are relatively easy but you have to have read the selections.

This class was SO easy. I literally did maybe 4 assignments all semester. He would give an assignment a month, if that. The tests were word documents and you opened it, worked on it, and then re submitted. No time limit or anything. The questions were straight forward and could easily be found by googling it. EASY!

Very boring. I never thought the hour would pass by. You have to show up for class. Expect homework after every class due the next week usually. Easy to pass. 810 times he never lets you out early. He makes you come the full semester. You get a Complete or Incomplete; not based on grades.

I took this class online and LOVED it! He is super easy and nice. He sent many updates and reminders letting you know what's due when. I really enjoyed him and this class and would definitely recommend him!

My. Myer is one of my favorite professors at JSU. I've had him for Technical Writing and American Lit, and he is wonderful! He's a great speaker, very easy to understand. He will help you in any way he can. And I love when he reads poetry :) Take him!

I will admit that he is funny. But he isn't interested in this class nor is he going to help you after class. Mr. Myer was a great oral comm teacher. Sometimes his lectures get a little boring but the class is pretty easy. If something comes up he will work with you and no busy work. Great class! The book is not used much at all.

If you read the comments that say Mr. Myer is hard, then you need to know these are the people who probably do not come to class regular. I admit he can be boring at times, but he hardly ever gives assignments and when he does, they are very easy. Just read the material and you will make an A. I know because I just did.

Very cool/great teacher/guy. If you read the assignments you'll do great. Class is kinda boring, he just talks the whole time which is good bc all u hav to do is sit there & listen. He has great things to say ab the course & gives it all a whole new meaning. I recommend this teacher. :)
