Dr. O's ConLaw 2 class is fairly straightforward. Explains issues well. Has great powerpoints. He does a very thorough review for the final.

He seems like a nice guy and is extremely knowledgeable, but.. a 35 question multiple choice exam with long fact patterns testing multiple concepts at once is not a straightforward way to test this material. There are many considerations in each issue which is the perfect setup for a students to demonstrate his or her learning with an essay exam.

He has a very difficult method of teaching. It does not translate well. I did well on the exam, however the majority of the material was self taught.

Whatever Orentlicher's credentials may be to teach his specialty, health law, he was abysmal as a Con Law prof. He has the shallow knowledge of a dilettante, and his lectures consist of boring, uninformative PowerPoint summaries of the reading. His "random" participation system resulted in some people being called on repeatedly, others not at all.

Had for Bioethics and liked. Had for Trusts and Estates and hated. It was obvious he had no interest in teaching T&E. Exam was ridiculousy hard, e.g. he teaches you the very basics and the exam is way above that level. It is the only exam in law school where I became disgusted at the professor for the way in which he/she wrote it. Avoid for T&E.

I had him for Con Law. He's boring, but he knows his stuff and explains things pretty well. The exam was pretty hard though. Take him over Patchell, but Wright or Hill might be better.
