Comment:
by far the worst professor i've ever had. he had no idea how to present material clearly, his "material" was merely him ****ing about things that had little to do with the class but personally interested him, and he made tests, projects, and showing up "optional". every other emerson teacher i had was a great teacher reguardless of whether or not i "liked" them, but david was neither a good professor nor someone i enjoyed being around.

What an amazing waste of time. Half the time he didn't show up, and when he did the class was more "Fighting the 'Man' 101" than "Gender and Global Perspectives," which is what I signed up for.

In nearly every one of our classes, he offered the opportunity to go and protest the war in Iraq and showed some pretty amazing documentaries.

Knowledgeable but often unclear. I think this is partially a consequence of the topics he studies. With a bit more structure in his courses/lectures and work on his presentation style this guy could go far.

smart man, but arrogant, self-absorbed, intrusively left-wing and absolutely can't teach.

His class was the biggest waste of my time ever. I never had any idea what he was talking about, and he had no idea how to run a class. I was really surprised when he said he had taught before coming to Emerson.
