Incredible Teacher! It's easy to figure out what you need to know for the test...everything. He's tough, but he teaches in a way that makes you actually care, thus it makes it easier to study b/c you are more aware of why the info is important. And if you think the info is not important, atleast you'll have fun in class b/c he's freakin funny!

The class was not like what I expected. It was very confusing to figure out what he expected and when he expected papers. I don't feel that I gained anything from taking this class. DO NOT TAKE ES 101 with Dr. Ritland. Maybe his Biology class is fun, but this one was quite the opposite.

I've never enjoyed a science class until Dr. Ritland. There's a reason he's been named Professor of the Year on several occassions! He makes learning biology [science] applicable to daily lives.

Not very helpful or easy to understand. We had to repeatedly ask him when papers were due (He kept changing the dates). We didn't do anything in class but just goof off. But when it came time to do papers, he is a toughy.
