Comment:
Really helpful class over cool subject that I had minimal knowledge over prior to the class. Keeps class moving along pretty well and focuses a lot on real world aspects of subject matter. Decent amount of assignments and projects, but not overly strenuous. Only had a mid-term and final for tests.

Did not learn a thing in this class. He is arrogant and could not care less about his students, even though "all he cares about is our success." I had to ask him to explain the outline of our final because he didn't think that was important enough to tell us. Very unclear believes he is far superior to the students.

If you are going to be an MIS major you NEED to take him for 301. He is extremely helpful as long as you ask. The only people that don't like him are the ones who want to coast through without trying. You could make a bingo game out of his repeat stories (it's actually been done).

Class is a lot of work and definitely not easy. Isn't very good at explaining new concepts. The homework, especially the ER diagrams, is very tough. I somehow pulled an A out in the class, but the course was not fun in the least.

I sort of feel like the world of teaching has moved on and Dave forgot to jump aboard. You can go to every class and still not learn anything or enough to do the homework. Tests are insane. The multiple choice are so hard. Sharing stories with him is just like "yeah that's nice.. shut up" type attitude. Very unclear, old-school and hard

Nice guy, but very random and sort of irritating. Class is boring, and quizzes are all pop. Does sometimes hold free attendance quizes. Not all bad.

this guy is all over the place. going to class serves no purpose because you learn about the same thing every class and nothing is clear. In a normal 1hr 15min class you get about 7 mins of good instruction. Grading is unclear and takes forever. Asking questions is completely useless as you will recieve no help.

Class is fairly easy. There is an access test, which you will do fine on as long as you do the access assignments. You can get away with not doing any of the access assignments because he has you send him an email saying you did them to get the points. But if you don't do them, you'll fail the test. There is a midterm and final and group project

I also had him for MIS 301. He's just not that great. He is pretty smart, but he can't relate things properly, and his tests are insane. I had to take him since he's the only prof for 385, and I'm hating it. I feel like he hates me and makes no effort to personally relate when I ask for help. He makes me uncomfortable.

He is very smart, and relates the material to everyday things, but in doing so he doesnt really explain the overall concepts. His tests are pretty tough, and cover about 250 powerpoint slides. His tests are essay and multiple choice, the essay are okay but the m.c. are very detailed. You have to work hard for a decent grade. He's willing to help.

This class was horrible. Each class is a lecture over a powerpoint where each slide has TOO much information. Never used the textbook once. Exams are impossible to study for because the lectures are too ambiguous and the text is nver used. Salisbury is no help either. DON'T TAKE HIM!!

Makes classes interesting and tries to relate all of the material to his students. Quizzes are normally easy and the tests are not bad as long as you study his midterm and final study guides.Good teach over all
