Dr Santos is a great math professor. I have never been good in math but he makes it so simple. He is always willing to help his students learn, he will not move on until everyone understands. He does not mind if you ask questions. I had Dr Santos for Math 017 in the spring I wish he was teaching 118 because I will take his class again!!!!

Comment:

Excellent math teacher! He simplifies all math problems so one can understand. There is either a quiz or test every week, but it keeps us learning. He emails practice quizzes and goes over them in class directly before taking a quiz or test! How much easier and simpler could he be? I hope to take him for all math classes!

doesnt give much of any homework and not too much classwork either. tests are always multiple choice and you can always use your notes. seems like a great idea right? right, until the end of the semester and you realize you dont know anything and you go into 118 lost. your choice.

I had him for linear math and i thought he was great. Im not sure if the other people who have commented him had the same teacher. The guy gave out a copy of past tests and went thru them with you before the test. He always did throw a twist in to test your knowledge. how much more can you ask? I think he is a good teacher

he is the worst teacher ever. first of all he doesnt use a book. he use he own hand out and they werent helpful to me. by the end of his class it was only about 8 people out of 30. i had to drop him. dont take him.

The man is brilliant! I am good in math, but in his class, I became better. He pokes and pokes your brain with questions and has a clear and logical manner of presenting the material. If I could, I would take all other math classes with him. Of course, if you are lazy, don't take him.

Very difficult, but very good. Rarely, if ever, has to correct a mistake made during lecture. If you can handle the work he will make you a better math student.

Great teacher of teachers. His class is a complete education, from history to grammar..., even though the class' subject was probability. I learned a great deal of trivia here. And math. But one has to work hard. Cheaters beware: he gives various versions of multiple choice tests, without telling you so.

This was a hard course. I busted my ass, but learned a lot. He helps you, and his notes are useful. He also writes very good recommendation letters, if you need them. But this teacher is not for the lazy or those who want an easy grade.

difficult to follow and tends to rant... yes he does let you use notes but the notes he puts on the board are difficult to follow and if you don't understand him , he does not take the time to try and find out why... if you are not strong in math, I do not reccommend this guy... no patience

The exact opposite of tough but fair. I say this because on tests he lets you use notes but even if you get the correct answer without showing your work he will take points off. So you could get a right answer but score less than a wrong answer with work.
