Comment:
Dr. Taylor is very helpful and willing to drop what he's doing to go through material with students. This is a flipped class and wasn't my favorite for that reason alone. If he had lectured I would have been able to learn more in the same amount of time. His quiz questions and phrasing on homework can be confusing but he'll clarify if you ask.

Comment:
Dr. Taylor is very laid back and the class wasn't too time consuming for a 1 credit class. He kept it simple and was available to help, if you needed it. He was very supportive during presentations and was a calming influence. Information on what was needed for a presentation was sometimes unclear but he was always available to answer questions.

Dr. Taylor is a very intelligent teacher, but he does split classes. This means no lecture so you learn on your own. It is a hard class.

What an amazing teacher. I truly wish that all the teachers at IUS in the biology dept where more like Dr.T, his teaching allows for students to learn so much and understand it so well that you look forward to the exams. I love this teacher. You are crazy to not want to learn from such an intelligent teacher. PERFECT!!! PERIOD!!

Comment:
Dr Taylor is a very good professor. He has a witty sense of humor and he tries to keep class interesting. The bad part about his class is that you do a lab EVERY single class. A lot of times you will get 30 minutes to do a lab that should take an hour and a half. It can be very stressful, but he is lenient on grading the lab notebook. It can be scary because he doesn't pick up the lab book until after the final exam, but he doesn't grade harshly on it. The exams arent easy, but not unreasonable.

I've had Dr. Taylor for both Field Biology and Summer Flowering Plants. He is an absolutely wonderful teacher who is very smart, patient, and helpful. I learned a lot in both classes and would highly recommend him!

Friendly, helpful, and not at all ego-centric. A student who is there to work hard will have no problems in his classes and will walk away with greater knowledge and a good friend.

Comment:
He is very unclear in his teaching and instruction and pushes the class too fast. Most other professors don't cover even half of the amount of lab he covers. This is not good because there is too much material to gain any real understanding of what is going on without his outside help. He does like to hear himself talk.

I am graduating and want to rate Dr. Taylor. He isn't a bad teacher really ... but he is a little man with a huge EGO and thinks he is the smartest person in the universe. I went on a field biology trip with him and honestly if it hadn't been for the other profs (Dr. Norman and Dr. Mason), it would have been a disaster and a waste of money.

Very helpful and very kind. He was willing to give me individual help whenever I needed it in class, which was a lot. There was a lot of lab time where we got close to what we were learning about so we could se what he had been telling us about. This was the best science class I've ever taken, and he's certainly high on my best prof list.
