I had Van Horn in the Fall of '01 for trig. He's sort of cocky about his intelligence. Go to class and take his notes, then go straight to the math help room. Those math helpers saved my grade every semester. DON'T talk during class, that really annoys

Terrible. Occationally verbally abusing students until they learn not to ask questions anymore, his lectures were very difficult to learn from, and hard to follow. I passed the class, thanks entirely to my excellant TA. I didn't learn a single thing from the lecture, the recitation saved my butt.

Really nice guy, but I took an intergrated Algebra class with him Im fairly good in math, B's, and he managed to bore me to death along with the rest of the class. Hew is usually a Stats teacher so that may have been the problem.
