Prof. Wei is clear and explains well when needed. His test are based on homework type questions. The students below mention accent, and Chinese. One even mentions that the test are based on homework, yet doesn't do well on exams. Clearly these comments are left by ignorant and not very bright individuals.

If you decide to take this class, you will have to do a lot of self-studying (youtube videos, textbook practice, etc). His lectures are useless and unorganized. He doesn't fully explain why or how you're doing a problem, it's like he expects you to already know how to do the basics when most of us haven't taken CompSci before.

Networks: Wei's accent makes him hard to understand. You can't use the book completely because he teaches things differently than the book does. HW is due once in a while. Midterm & Final. Make sure you do the hw because those are the questions on the exams. It takes a long time to give back graded assignments so don't wait for them.

This class was a real joke. Do not take his class unless your major is in Chinese. I did not understand anything he said. He never answered any of my e-mails for help. He would speed through classes without clear explanations of the problems. I actually tried to learn the material by studing the text book, but still got a poor grade. BE CAREFUL!

someone deleted my comment. This professor is the worst professor I have had yet at fordham. I did well in his class, simply because it was easy IF you went to the help center (he taught nothing). He cancelled 6 or 7 classes, never answered emails. No one understands the material. Class was a complete joke, doesn't know how to answer questions.

Wei is a great teacher. He knows how to teach and knows his material well. Some people think he doens't know what hes talking about simply because he has an accent. If u just ask him for help, he'll really take the time with you. Then u realize damn, this guy really is making sense. Just see him after class. He'll surprise u.

Aside from his accent which may be tough to understand (but by no means a deterrant), he does not grade homework he assigns, and does not grade tests he gives. He relied too much on grad students throughout the course. He maintained no flow.
