Dr. Wiley has his grad assistants teach this course and they do a great job. What you see is what you get. There are no real challenges in this class and it is more about preparing you to teach Health. You write a short book review and work mostly in groups. Lectures the first half of class and rest is activities. Wiley sat in at times and was nice

Dr. Wiley is a professor the majority of students need in their college career, because he sets realistic expectations, holds students accountable for their own actions, provides proper feedback, and direct in his teaching. I've taken four graduate classes and one more to take. It was worth my time and money. I appreciate his time too.

Good teacher, interesting topic. Most of his lectures include "we didn't get to anything I needed to teach today." It's not for beginners. Very difficult to get caught up if you aren't already experienced in this area. Not clear about expectations for those not in his department. Make sure to ask about everything, he assumes you'll already know

Dr. Wiley has very high expectations, but is fair, available for help, and has a wealth of knowledge to share. Do not take this class if you have no intention of working hard and/or have little to no desire to learn the material. Put forth the effort and you will learn so much! One of my favorite professors.

Dr Wiley at first seemed to be arrogant but as the semester and content grew so did my interest in the class.

I had to take his class twice because the first time I didn't pay the attention it deserved. If you show up, pay attention, and READ the book you will be ok but I can't stress enough how old school this guy is. If you don't have tough skin. Take someone else. The guy is a bit of a hot head and isn't afraid to call you out on anything he seems fit.

arrogant, condescending, states his opinions as facts, intolerant of christianity, bully, egomaniac. Focuses mostly on what he is interested in and neglects the other topics that should be addressed according to his syllabus.

Easily one of my favorite professors at Texas State. This class was really interesting. His lectures are really interesting and the tests aren't too bad as long as you read the textbook and pay attention in class. Be sure to show up-attendance isn't technically mandatory, but he knows who shows up and who doesn't. Take this class.

Although attendance is technically not mandatory he has a memory like a steel trap. He will know when you are not there... however his lectures are so interesting that you will want to be there. He is possibly the best teacher i have ever had... even considered changing my major. You must read the chpts to pass the quizzes, only 5 multi choice.

His class was very interesting. He taught you a lot. You get a lot out of his class. His tests were hard for me. Daily quizzes are in the CD Rom for book; quizzes appear on test. Read the material, study notes and you should do fine. He bumped me up my letter grade so show up and dont take advantage of no attendance. Participate in class.

Arrogant-- He bases his tests on the latest Educational surveys, which tests the students' "true content of the material". If you accept his opinions as truth, you'll do fine in his courses. After disecting his testing methods, I pulled an A.

His tests are structured based on some statistical model.Instead of testing mastery of the material, he's more concerned with having a perfect bell curve. If you can tolerate his arrogance for an entire semester, you should do well.
