Comment:
Calc 3 is not supposed to be tough but this guy is very deceptive. He disillusions a lot of his students with his mathy wumbo jumbo speeches. You will learn zilch if you go to his lectures and his practice exams are so ridiculous they serve as another form of trickery. If you want to succeed, look at his past exams and study from those instead.

Yetter very clearly knows what he is talking about and is extremely intelligent, but he can not teach to save his life. His lectures are sporadic and incoherent. If you get him, switch out. If you can't then go to class, do the homework, and read the book, you'll be fine. The final curve saves lives.

Once again he takes the cake for being one of the worst professors that you can have while here at K-State. The curve was so large by the end of the course that students with 56% and above passed the course.

Lectures are often sidetracked into information that does not apply or help in Calculus. He's a decent guy, but terrible at teaching. He is very intelligent, but he doesn't know how to get his points and understanding across to students.

Comment:
Professor Yetter is mediocre when it comes to teaching Calculus. He may be a smart man, but his lectures and homework require knowledge beyond the capability of non-math majors. His handwriting is difficult to comprehend and is a barrier in understanding lectures and practice exams. Lastly, he does not offer a practice exam that reflects the actual

He's manageable if you are good at reading your textbook. Tests seem easy until you get your grade back. He does curve though, so an A isn't impossible. Beware the practice exams. They are more computationally difficult than the exams but easier conceptually. Overall, a smart professor, but a very bad teacher and course coordinator.

I'm writing this as I sit in a lecture hall waiting for the professor to show up. Short and not so sweet: He makes up problems he can't solve. He will test you over things not taught in lecture, and not on the homework. The homework does not relate to the lecture. If you go to class, expect to get lost by his dead language lessons and bad writing.

One of the hardest tests. Typically the math professor with the greatest curve. A lot of tangents that don't pertain to class. Teaches things not in the book and tests over it. You recitation instructor is your life line. Does not teach for engineering students, focuses on theory. Insanely smart and seems cool, extremely difficult to learn from.

Comment:
The worst professor at KSU. He takes personal offense to the fact that most of his students are engineering majors and doesn't plan any of his lectures. My grade went up when I stopped going to his lectures. He couldn't teach basic addition to a college student, let alone advanced calculus. Arrogant and rude. Stay away from him at all costs.

Stands at the front of the class and scribbles on paper that he calls "notes", which is unreadable. He talks about things that are not even close to the pirated text book provided to us. Questions about how something works? Good luck. He probably doesn't understand it either. He will ask the toughest questions on tests he can get away with.

Handwriting is nearly unreadable. Fails to present information in an organized fashion due to lack of planning for his lectures. Arrogant enough to think he can make up example on the fly (Spoiler: they never work out!). Hard tests and weird grading, but a generous curve. Prepare to learn a lot on your own though.

Fun guy, unless you hate sarcasm. Sometimes it felt like he just wanted to show off his math knowledge. Has reasonable expectations of students.

Dr. Yetter's sprawling handwriting was hard to read and disorganized. He VERY often went off on tangents, and his tests covered hard material not in the homework or lecture. Myself and others dropped the course after the first midterm, and this killed my desire to pursue a math major.

Dr. Yetter is by far the worst professor I have had at K-State. He is completely worthless. He doesn't plan his lectures and makes up the practice problems as he goes and then will change them when he forgets how to do it. He won't address his students when he speaks and rambles to himself. Would have failed if I didn't already know some Calculus.

Truly the worst professor I've ever had. Totally unclear course directives, his lectures have nothing to do with the homework, and his practice exams have nothing to do with the actual tests. If you have to take the course with him, you gotta do it, but this guy is truly a nightmare.

Arr0gantly, disorganized and unprepared sums this one up. Example problems are made up on the fly. They tend to be very difficult and disorganized making it hard to follow along. His handwriting is harder to read than the Captcha. He is unable to tell his students are lost and therefore is unable to be of any use in the realm of teaching.
