Davis is one of the best professors I've had at U of A. He gives feedback that inspires creativity and brings enlightening work by great poets that provides a good jumping-off point for the students' own poetry. His personality was the best part of the class - he's an interesting guy with an interesting past.

Definitely the most fun English teacher, and one of the most brilliant. Has an almost obsessive love for Keats that is charming. At last, a kindred spirit!

Davis is a godsend for young writers. He might be a little too flattering at times, but he has so much advice and wisdom to give for such a young teacher. His poetry, also, lends to his credibility. I had no problems in his class. It was a joy.
