Absolutely fantastic person. Dean is one of my favorite teachers and has great topics for his history of Radicalism class. There is a LOT of work for this class, but as long as you keep up and engage in conversations, you will never regret choosing his classes.

Dean is interesting and engaging. There is a lot of reading. You must read the texts. You will enjoy his class, but if you don't go to all classes and read the material (surprise quizes on the text) then you'll have a hard time doing well. He appreciates vocal integrity, even opposing him. He's blatantly liberal. looks for a good argument.

Great guy, but the class was tough. The readings were inconsistent with some weeks having little reading while others having extra chapters added last minute. The final project required outside meetings, which were incredibly inconvenient for anyone living off campus, those with family obligations, and with full-time jobs.

Dean was an overall great teacher. He did similations within the class that were very interesting. He does give pop quizzes so if you don't do the reading for that night then your screwed. Gives a final and midterm which are pretty hard to study for but it's not that bad.

I really liked this class! Theres not a whole lot of work, but if you do the little that there is you get a good grade. There are a few boring days of taking notes but other than that class is fun. Hes a really sweet guy, although the what materials covered on the test is unclear. Plus there are surprise quizzes on the reading!

Challaneging class but Dean is a great professor. I've never met a student that didn't like him. He's tough and demanding of his students, but you will learn alot as his class is always very stimulating and he is open for absolutley any discussion. Loves to hear students point of view so you'll also learn alot from classmates.Must take his class.

Easily the best on campus. Treats his students like equals and never misses an opportunity for a joke. Be prepared for ALOT of reading but no tests -- just reaction papers. Every class is entertaining and thought-provoking.
