Comment:

Dr. Thompson is great! A usual class consists of a canny joke followed by a pop quiz, then writing journal entries or lectures on literature. Your grade is based on 4 essays (pop quizzes add/deduct points off of these) and a final. He's really supportive and helpful to everyone.

Dr. T is honestly one of the greatest professors PC has hired. He cares about his students and tries to make his gen ed English class fun. If you enjoy being outside in the mornings youll love his front step classes. He loves to lecture on life rather than structures within English. The most English you get is writing essays and reading.

My absolute favorite professor at Presbyterian College. Unlike previous professors, Dr. Thompson shows his dedication and passion for what he loves. One of the sweetest and most genuine people I know. Glad to have had a great professor and friend.

Dr. THompson is one of the sweetest men you will ever meet. He knows the books you will read in class like the back of his hand, so you better make sure you read. He is incredibly inspirational but if you struggle with grammar like me, it may be a little difficult but not impossible to make a good grade! He obviously loves his students, and his daily jokes are the best.

Dr. Thompson is truly the best educator I have ever had as a student. He respects hard work and truly cares for each student. Dr. Thompson gives lectures which keep you entertained for the entire class period. He teaches with strong passion and guides you through the coursework. Make sure to take good notes, they will pay dividends around test time

AVOID AT ALL COST! If you aren't an English Major DO NOT take any of his courses. His classes are long and boring. He requires a lot of outside reading and writing. You can expect to read a million books and write a million different kind of papers in his class. He does not hand out A's no matter how hard you work. Expect to be frustrated.

Dr. Thompson is the SWEETEST professor at PC. He truly cares about the well-being of all of his students and he wants them to succeed. He is so nice and willing to help. I recommend taking his class! He is kind of a hard essay grader but I got A's on all of them. If you work hard, he will give you an A.

Although he is a wonderful person outside the classroom, inside the class room he can be ruthless. He grades very very very hard and fails to give feedback on how you can improve. He just expects you to figure it out on your own, which was very hard for my learning style.

Dr. Thompson is one of my favorite professors at PC. He is always willing to help his students with the papers he assigns. The class is a good deal of reading but you get to watch the movies for whatever you read. He truly cares about each of his students and I would certainly take him for English if you are considering it. He's also entertaining!

He finds a way of taking dull works and turning them into something exciting and beautiful. One of his best qualities, besides an endless number of corny jokes that could put the meanest person in a better mood, is his ability to relate any work to an aspect of or lives. Dr. Thompson is more than just a felicitous, exceptionally qualified professor. He is a dear friend of mine. Many professors don't understand that they are there for the STUDENTS, but this truism never even escapes Dr. Thompson's peripheral vision. No other priority in his vocation ever comes before a student in Dean Thompson's office.
