Comment:

Professor Michael is very passionate about the course she teaches. While there is work and her lectures are long, she really is a remarkable person who wants to teach and she never tells you you are wrong- she always works off what you say and helps get you to where you need to be. She appreciates class participation!

I think this is a difficult class. She responded to my emails within 48hrs. One chapter plus 4-11pg article per wk,plus 2 additional chapter books and quizzes, plus huge group project and the final is an 8 page paper describing every single item read from all the books and articles. Tough but I took her this summer and got an A.

She is horrible!! This week is finals I have absolutely no idea what my grade is. I am praying that she doesn't bombard me with low scores after the semester when there is nothing I can do to fix it. I don't recommend this professor at all!! Good luck getting her to respond to email, I am always emailing with no response. It is just ridiculous.

Do not take this class with her. She is obsoletely horrible! Does not respond to emails at all. I had to send 7 of the same emails to get a response. She does not grade anything until the semester is over. She cares nothing about the class. Worse teacher I have ever had.

I took Schools and Society online with her, BIG MISTAKE. She takes forever to respond to emails, and when she does don't count on her to address anything you've asked about. She barely posted any grades until after the final. She posts instructions and due dates in various places on BB and doesn't respond to email for clarification. VERY STRESSFUL!

She was horrible about providing grades and feedback of any kind on assignments. I had no idea what my grades were for all but four of my assignments until days after I had taken the final exam. I feel as though students do not receive the grades they deserve because she waits so long to grade, she doesn't have time to actually read them.

Horrible about grades! We didn't know ANY of our grades untill they camp up in Oasis. I took this class online and she never responded to e-mails. I love online classes but this was the worst experience i've had!

While the assignments were fairly easy, she was so far behind on grading that I had no idea what grade I would have!! After our 10 week class finished, I didn't have grades since the second week. She also never answered my emails. Good luck!

She was a very organized online professor. The chats were helpful and interesting. Many students did not show up for the chats, but I enjoyed the discussion with her. I learned a lot, though her opinion was biased to the left. But she is knowledgeable and got across the important points of the philosophers for the PKT.

All semester we have only had our midterm grade despite other assignments being turned in. She never returned my email. Her lectures are off topic, she is unorganized & she is very politically minded so be prepared to hear politics.

Dr. Michael is a nice person, but her lectures get SO off topic. Her speciality is Politics and she certainly makes that very clear every class. She is quite unorganized and spacey. She can go on and on about absolutely nothing. So don't expect to get out of class early.. ever. Overall it's a good class, but not anything to boast about.

She is so incredibly smart! Some classes get off track because discussions go off course, but it's interesting to hear about how much she knows. SHe make me want to be smarter!
