GREAT TEACHER!! You're not going to do well in the class if you don't attend. Most of her exam questions are straight from her lectures. Show up to class with your reading done, participate (she hands out points in class which she adds to your exam grade for questions she asks that students answer), take good notes, and you'll pass with an "A."

Professor Armstrong knows her stuff! There's a group project (which I loved), several short story analysis assignments, pop quizzes, and short papers. She takes attendance, so make sure you go to class. She is picky, but if you have questions, she will definitely help you! You also don't have to take the final if you're doing well, so go for an A!

Mrs. Armstrong is a very sweet and amusing professor. The content in the course can be challenging, but she makes a few of the tests easy. Make sure you answer all questions on the tests, because if you accidently miss a section she will not let you make it up! Overall, this is a good class and she's a good teacher.

One of the best there is. As long as you come to class ready to pay attention, take some notes, and read what she tells you, there's no reason you can't pass the class. She is extremely helpful if you ask her and she is really witty and funny and she knows how to keep a light mood very fun class and the best English teacher I've ever had.

Deb Armstrong is a great, passionate teacher. She is exceptionally clear in what is expected of her students. She expects you to do the reading and to understand it, and any deeper analysis will be discussed in class. Don't expect to do well if you only show up on test day, many of questions on the tests are taken directly from her lectures.

She is good! I learned somethings about American Lit. Read, take notes, do assignments if any & above all attend class. You get in class info. not in bk. Participate, demonstrate kindness & share notes.

Easiest Literature class you can take. If you can't pass this class, you probably need to quit your college career now. Read the stories, take notes, study notes, pass class. Test are straight forward, no trick questions, you either studied or didn't type questions, meaning they come straight from notes.

She is extremely passionate about what she does, go to class, take good notes like and read the book. She reviews day before test and has even given practice review test (for study purposes not graded) and the tests are generally easy. 5 exams and the final replaces lower test grade. She offers extra points by participating with answers! Loved her!

Mrs. Armstrong rocks. As long as you can speak english and use proper punctuation, you will be perfectly fine. She is not hard, as long as you take time to do the work. It is simple: Show up, put some effort in the work, and you will get an A. DO NOT TAKE HER IF YOU PLAN ON SKIPPING AND TURNING IN HALF-EFFORT PAPERS.

This was my second time taking this professor, but first time for this class. Show up to class and listen! She gives you everything you need to know for the test in class. She makes her tests out harder than they actually are, so don't stress! She's amazing to learn from. Final is optional, which is really nice! Highly recommended.

Dr. Armstrong is awesome! If you go to class and halfway read what she asks you to, you will do great. She is CRYSTAL clear on what she wants and you get a review before every test. I don't understand how anyone didn't get an A in her class. Her sense of humor is wonderful! I highly recommend her.

If you are bad at writing, do NOT take this class. She grades very hard on essays, and easy on everything else. That being said, if you actually like english, this class is disappointing. Everything kind of feels like a joke. At one point it was like nobody needed to go to class for a month. Some people might like that, but I was unhappy with it.

I hated this teacher at first, but she's very specific about what she wants (Outlines. Use them! Went from 85 to 95s quickly!). She's sort of rude, but just ignore it. Didn't ever use the book. Material is online. Group research paper was NOT fun. Fun class if you're good at English.
