Deb is the best professor I have ever had. Those who did not like her did not put in the effort. She will respect anyone who has an opinion that they can back up with evidence. She has been around and knows some students will try and slide by; she does not let this happen. She holds us all accountable as adults. I've never learned more in my life.

Possibly the worst professor I've ever had. Refused to answer my emails, even when she was the one who asked me to contact her through email. I had a conversation with her about a presentation, then worked my ass off on said presentation, then three days later had forgotten about our conversation entirely and wouldn't let me present. Awful.

Deb is the best teacher at RWU. Yes she assigns a lot of work, is a tough grader, and expects all her students to think critically. But, she lets you know exactly what she is looking for, is always willing to meet for extra help, and pushes you to do your best work possible.

Debbie is super hard, but her class is totally worth it. you have to work your ass off, and often times the readings can be over 100 pages for one assignment, but I absolutely loved loved loved this class. I would NOT take it if you weren't an english major, bc as an elective you'll probably hate it. as long as you talk in class, she'll love you

She is definitely a very knowledgable teacher; however, she degrades students and makes them very nervous. She shouts a lot and assigns a TON of homework. She IS willing to meet with you outside of class, but normally just says you need more "textual support" and doesn't help much past that. Avoid her if you can.

deb is the worst profesor ive ever had in my life. no doubt she has an enormous amount of knowledge about like kind of material she is covering. However, she is verbally abusive, and challenging to the point where there is so much you need to know, you feel overwhelmed. avoid at all costs

She's a "difficult" teacher if by difficult you mean awful. She has to have a scapegoat. I was really interested in symbology before I took her class, but given some of the awful things she did to other students, along with some truly bizarre mistakes she made, I begin to believe it is all so much ****. And she stole a book I lent her.

Deb is the best professor you will ever have at RWU. In all sincerity, she's tough, but she's worth it, and you'll come out on the other side of the insanity a smarter person. Deb cares if you care. Worst. Prof. Ever. She made up facts in class (about how Japanese people believe in dragons because they live with "kimono" dragons), chose one poor kid to be her constant scapegoat, was rude during in-class presentations when people are already nervous, and was generally just the biggest pill. As hard as her exams are, Deb is a wonderful teacher. She always really nice and enthusiastic, and is willing to give you extra help if you need it, even if it's out of her way. What I enjoyed most though, was the reading material she assigned. Everything was either really short, or REALLY good. Just be sure to outline your essays before exams!!
