I love Debbie so much! She is my all time fav. prof from U of W. She is so bubbly and full of passion. She lets students have a chance to be creative- so if you hate papers and love art, her classes are meant for you. She is also a very reasonable marker as long as you put effor into your work.

I had never read Virginia Woolf before this year, but I had Debbie once before and she is so lovely! She is a wild and crazy prof who likes to teach in a very flexible and creative way. Unfortunately our class wasn't very talkative so the discussions were at a minimum, but we all produced wonderful final projects and put on an art show.

Very nice person. She has a very different teaching style that keeps class interesting. Very heavy course load for an intro course. Difficult marker but u can revise assignments. Is not very clear with what she expects. You have to induldge in the course if u want to do well. You don't learn much in class but it is interesting

I love Debbie! Picture books is a wonderful class that also challenges your assumptions. Picture books are complex, interesting, and most of all fun to learn about. Storytime is wonderful! And you get to make your own picturebook too! Highly Recommended!!!

Debbie is wonderful person who makes her students feel welcome in and out of class. She employs a lot of discussion and non-traditional methods (like storytime) but does not mark traditional work differently. She has a bit of a lisp, but I wasn't bothered by it. Highly recommended.

i haven't had a class with her for 3 years, but i still think of her as one of the best and most engaging profs i've ever had, as well as one of the most gentle, kind, open, and warm-spirited women i've ever met. non-traditional teaching, so be prepared!
