She tries to make you make the material relevant to your life, like go the extra mile. So if you have no personal interest in world dance and you're looking to just learn facts, study, then take a test, this isn't the class for you. There's a creative project as well, huge pain in the A.

This professor is the most disrespectful professor possible & very narcissistic. She will embarrass you and give you constant eyerolls she only thinks shes right. She refers to us as you people if we are saying we dont understand, and she has told our class to withdraw because we asked her questions. I cry everyday leaving class

This class is extremely tedious. interesting subject matter, but all we do is watch movies on dancing in different cultures and do homework. There is homework almost every night and so many assignments. I did all the work and did well but it took up so much time. Id avoid this professor if you can.

If you give respect to her, she will give it to you. She is such a down to earth person. Everything she expects from you is and always will be in the syllabus. She does make it possible to do extra credit. In this class you will be watching dance movies over the time and write about why you liked it and how you can connect it to issues in the world

This lady cares about what she's teaching but doesn't understand that some people who take her courses are just filling a requirement. She hates cell phone use and people who don't specifically follow her exact directions, no matter how much work you put into it. Really cares about dance, but doesn't understand not everyone else does.

Took her ballroom dance class and had a blast! She is a kind woman who just expects you to participate in order to get an A. She still says hi to me every time I see her on campus. I would like to take her for other courses if I had time.

Super nice lady and easy class. Do your work and you'll pass- skip and you won't. Very specific for papers but kind of unorganized and gives homework almost every class. Would definitely take her class again though.

Professor Stringham is honestly a really nice lady. She wants her students to learn and if you ask for help she will do whatever she can to help you. Workload is average, but never really anything too hard. She tries to make class interesting and usually succeeds. Would take again

This class was pure torture. I somehow managed to get an A in it but I wanted to fall asleep every day. All you do is sit in class and watch videos on different cultures dances and take notes. Occasionally go to the dance studio and forced to dance. Extremely dry class.

she is the best professor I have had so far. She has a strict attendance policy. Great for dancers and non-dancers. Pushes to help you succeed. Put in an honest effort with her and you will benefit. I actually wrote about her for an english paper and have it on my website which this site won't let me post. Take her!

Debby Stringham means well, but this woman is nothing without her movies. I learned nothing in this course and was bored to tears. If we asked her a question that was not in one of her videos she didn't know. There's homework almost every night, but she goes over it in class most of the time. If you're not into dance, i wouldn't recommend this.

You people make me laugh. Yes,she is the easiest teacher on the plant but if you are a GOOD dancer you should be able to get something out of every class you take.Work on your basic technique which is not used as much in this school. This teacher is very fun, she always has something wierd planned for the class. Even if you dont know how to dance if u just show up and try she will love you. We had to write one paper on a play we seen, and 2 small quizzes(very easy). She checks attendance every class, and she'll work with you if your always absent. I recommend her class...

What can I say about DString..go to 1 of her many classes to find out. She does it all jazz modern tap ballroom & african However she should never be allowed to enter a dance class because she is that bad. She doesnt correct and hates all the "real" dancers at BSC. If u kno anything about dance u will take her class & laugh.
